need help on id of driver from Haubstadt 1998
 

I have a photo that was taken at Haubstadt in 1998. It's a black #12 winged sprinter. I can make out JC Sul????? on the side. Some of the sponsors are Superior Home Improvement & Hobgood Post Frame. Does anyone know who this is? I appreciate any help.

Yep thats who it is.I saw him at christmas time taking his kid to see santa at the 4h grounds,and i see him at Tri State sometimes in the pits.

I work with J.C. (good dude most of the time) and if Im not mistaken the car in the picture was the car owned by Larry Gates, and they won a couple of track championships together down at the Madisonville track. I could be wrong its been known to happen

J.C. was one of the many Haubstadt drivers from that era that did not transition to the non-wing cars after running the winged cars for so long.

I know I've posted this before...but the driver, in the blue and white suit, right in front of a much younger Kevin Briscoe is J.C....this is a group picture from around 89 or 90 of wing sprint car racers at Tristate.

Could you post the picture? I'd love to see it. JC got me started working with sprint cars when I was younger. Awesome dude.

Now lets play a game and see who can name off all the other drivers.

Please excuse my spelling. Starting at top left Roger Carey (I think), Mark Cummings, Gary Hayhurst Jr, J C, Kevin Brisco, Tim Engler. Bottom Row Jason Smith and then Larry Bland I think
