Fuel Line Routing
 

I have a late 90's Beast dirt chassis. It has the fuel filter mount welded to the frame under the seat. When the filter is mounted it points parallel to the torque tube. Did this car run the fuel line along the torque tube?

If you mean "attached" to the torque tube, no, it most likely exited the tank, on the lower right, followed the lower frame rail under the axle, then to the filter. From there, it would depend on where your fuel pump is located, but it is best to keep the supply line as low as possible, these mechanical pumps don't typically produce much vacuum, so keep it as low as you can. My Fuel Safe tail has a top outlet above the shelf. The line comes out with a 90 across the back of the seat. It then runs down the frame in front of the axle on the left and goes to the mount/filter. The fuel pump will be mounted on the power steering pump on the back of the engine.

Myself, I'd probably move it, one, to get it away from the brake rotor, heat and in case of failure, and I'd probably move it to the right side of the chassis, somewhere you can access it easily, in case the filter needs changed/cleaned. Looks like the way it comes down in front of the axle is ok, I make standoffs, out of 3/8 nylon, drill and tap the bottom, drill a hole in them for the fuel line to go thru, and mount them to the belly pan, under the torque tube, then to the pump, keeps em from moving around, and out of the way.
