Pancho Carter pic

Im looking for a certain picture of Pancho from what year I dont know, but its a baby blue and orange #44 sprint car.I checked ovalmeister and he didnt have one posted.Wondering if someone may have one. When I was a kid (5,6,7) my dad had this picture hanging on the wall in my bedroom. Was thinking of bringing that car back on a micro. Thanks in advance for any posts.I think the picture may have been from Terre Haute.

Are you sure it was not a baby blue No. 4? Pancho ran that in 1976 after finishing fourth in 1975. He ran a baby blue No. 1 in 1977, a white No. 44 in 1978 and a dark blue No. 44 in 1979. That was actually Dan Gurney's colors the two years Pancho ran for him. Since I did not see him run sprints in 1980, 81 and 82, I can't say about those years.

Oh yeah. Try John Mahoney at jmahoneypix@yahoo.com. I was not shooting much color in 1976.

This isn't the sprinter obviously, but I think it's the paint scheme you're looking for.
Did you buy a car?
David.

Not a mini sprint no.I had a micro that was a frame and body work and everything in my garage and decided to put it together. Its a older 98 factor 1 but I wanted to relive some older guys cars from when I was younger.Havent decided on 1 yet but just going through photos trying to pick one out.I was set with AJ's at first but decided I would do more research before I commited to one.

This lithograph is on my wall right now, it looks like it was definitely based on the picture below...

Nowadays, it's hard to imagine the "Bopper" having a car that looked so good, eh?:D
