Question about the #1 Track
What track in the US has seen the most top notched drivers? Talking about drivers that have raced there one time or another even though they have moved up!!! Is it a CA track or could it be an IN track or maybe even an OH track or could it be Iowa?
Ok spridge here's a good question for you can you answer it? |

Re: Question about the #1 Track
Salem or Winchester asphalt
Terre Haute or Eldora for Dirt. All the big names from Indy for 40 years raced at these tracks. |
Re: Question about the #1 Track
I had to edit my post after I re-read the initial post.
Eldora or Terre Haute for dirt, and Winchester for pavement based on the longevity of those tracks. |

Re: Question about the #1 Track
I have to say the miles. The championship circuit went through Springfield from 34 through 71. Races have been at the fairgrounds since 1908. Not only open wheel cars either. ARCA and the USAC stock car divisions have been regulars at the fair. The AMA flat trackers come through Springfield twice a year. I know Indy, DuQuoin, Sacremento, and other miles have extensive histories too, I'm just not as familiar with them.

Re: Question about the #1 Track
Bloomington and Terre Haute have always been popular for big names. Bloomington may not have been in existence as long as some other tracks across the country, but it certainly started the careers for a lot of the top names that are 40-under years old.
