8 Tracks trying to reopen in 2025...... And more Info.
So far in the last few months though different pages on Facebook I've see a few tracks trying to reopen.
Reopening Adrenaline Motorsports Raceway - (A.K.A. Kamp / Daugherty Speedway) - Boswell, Indiana www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61569317678936 Liberty 44 Speedway (Union Co. / Whitewater) - Liberty, Indiana www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61572246981517 Twin Cities Raceway Park - North Vernon, Indiana N/A LaSalle Speedway - LaSalle, Illinois www.facebook.com/LaSallespeedway Joplin 66 Speedway - Joplin, Missouri N/A Clinton Speedbowl Park - Clinton, Oklahoma No Facebook Page but has a 2025 Schedule out. Big South Fork Raceway - Huntsville, Tennessee www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61570077395863 Golden Mountain Speedway Park - Sparta, Tennessee www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555791303909 NEW TRACK BEING BUILT 127 Speedway - Lawrenceburg, Kentucky..... No Facebook page yet. All I have see so far is it’s an all brand new facility in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Intersection of 127 and Bluegrass Parkway. 3/8 mile replica of Lucas Oil Speedway. Track & walls are visible on Apple Maps app. That’s about all that is completed. Track that was supposed to open in 2024 and never did was what was supposed to be the new Daisy Speedway in Georgia. Seems like the theme is while some may close others could reopen or be trying to reopen. Is there a track that still exist that you'd like to see reopen? |
Any info on the plans for North Vernon?

We can all hope though right? Guess we will all see soon enough. |
I’d like to see Beaver Dam Raceway not close at the end of this year.

Modoc Speedway (Little river speedway) has supposedly been trying to reopen for a couple of years now. They even put down the gray gumbo dirt.
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1Ue...ibextid=wwXIfr I’d heard Daisy Speedway ran into issues with the local government. Buffalo Speedway in SC is also close to re-opening. |

Until there is an actual opening or working on reopening by a person or group not just some petition to get Gas City Open again, there's no reason to. Those listed are actual efforts. So what's going on with Vermillion County & Winston Speedway? VCS was always a fun place to race. |

On the list of tracks I'd like to see re-open; there is a dirt 1/2 mile at the Winnebago Country Fairgrounds in Pecatonica, IL.
They ran Badger Midget and Dirt LM races there, just over 20 years ago. The fairboard does (or did, recently) have some interest in talking with a promoter. https://www.winnebagocountyfair.com/facilities It says the stands hold 4,000. The "general" area no longer has nearby race tracks; as the dirt track about 20mins to the West in Freeport, IL closed about 15 years ago; and Rockford (paved), about 25mins to the East; closed just over a year ago (so there are still some race fans around; who are looking for places to go...). What's left for dirt tracks (with possible racers and fans; who could maybe support another one)?; about an hour away (each); Darlington, WI runs on Fridays; and Sycamore, IL runs every Friday/Saturday. The mentioned partial season at LaSalle would be something to be courteous of. Otherwise, there are a host of tracks further to the west, in Iowa. Racers may not mind the travel. I'd wonder if a few Sunday evening shows would work? But not against anything at Angell Park Speedway. |

There is a group trying to get the old Dewey (Okla.) Speedway back up and running. It has been dormant since 1981!
