For those not paying attention….weekly sprints at burg are essentially dead.

4 usac sprint car races
2 weekly non wing sprint car races

During the months of May, June, July, and August, essentially race season, there's one non wing sprint car race. Sad.

Read his facebook post on their page. In his words. Not mine.

He's got High Limit and a couple Northern All Star LM shows. and having gone to the GLSS race last year it drew good crowd and was a good race. The Merrill Downey is always killer if mods are your thing.

To Quote East Bay's promoter. There's a ever shrinking field of cars out there. Im glad he's opening the gates again, He cares. He and his Son are racers but you don't keep losing and stay open.

Promoter said on his FB post that they lost money on 6 of the 7 NW shows last year. I can’t expect anyone to continue to lose money.

My only solution to it would be to find another track willing to start it and have a ASCS Spec head non wing class. no titanium, no adjustable shock and a spect tire. Something someone could build for 15-20k and last a couple seasons and get five nights out of set of tires.

Seems like what everyones going to in Wings anyway and just dropping in a 410 for the $$ races.

We got cars around but only about half of em can make it in any one weekend. They lose a engine, they're out a couple months, Chassis, same. rebuilds etc.

Another thing would be bring back mini sprints and TQ's most of our guys we've had came from them and they used to run. I never was a fan of em. But they made drivers want to move up.

MMSA Mini Sprints run all over Indiana, Chuck, with great car counts. They don't like the Burg track size.

Bring back the American Mini Sprint Association AMSA 1200 Mini Sprints!

A 305 Non-Wing Class could be something or maybe a class like Wilmot has with the Wisconsin Wingless Sprints that run with a 604 crate engine.

1st and foremost though you have to do what you can to keep the doors open.
