KMOX had a blurb this morning about new speedway being open in 2025.

That would be great, but im pretty sure they havent broken ground in any new facility yet.

Can only hope that the new track can duplicate the character and "charm" of the old one.

Gonna be a 1/4 mile as opposed to a 1/5, and relocated in the SE corner of the grounds, where the overflow pit area is now. That puts it right next to the Belleville poop plant, I'm sure the smell will be great being that close. But I'm glad to see a track going in, instead of being torn down.

Maybe they did some people a big favor buying their homes.

Being neighbors to something as inhospitable as the sewage treatment facility or an airport is about the only way an urban track can survive. If the yuppies build trendy townhouses built adjacent to the poop factory, maybe the race track noise and dust will be the least of their worries!

Waste treatment plants don't stink if they're run correctly.... only when they "go anareobic"
