A J Foyt is 89 today. Remarkable that he survived a dangerous era in motorsports.
Arguably the greatest driver ever.

Foyt is a super nice guy. I am fortunate to be around him a few times. For this I am very thankful and it makes me miss my friend.

They don't make em like Foyt anymore.

I’m fortunate, to have attended 500 qualifying back in the late 70s early 80s. I can still remember Tom Carnegie announcing when AJ Foyt would roll out for qualifying. Everyone busy in the snake pit and everyone busy all over the property would stop what they were doing and get to the fence to get a glimpse of AJ. When AJ rolled out, it was all eyes on him.

I’d say your right. I’ve actually looked at the IMS schedule. A date stood out to me kinda May 14th.
I can swing by IMS and see a little practice (maybe see Larson) then head up to Kokomo for High Limit that night.
Or I could just go to qualifying, then go to Paragon.
