When Justin Owen passed at Lawrenceburg last month, there was understandably a lot of media coverage in the Cincinnati area. But it got me thinking and this article reinforced the thought, it’s a shame it takes a tragedy for the media to write stories about the sport we all love. I have to think there are many other drivers with great backstories I would love to hear but not under such awful circumstances.
