Kenneth Daryle Saucier
Age 67, of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly at his home December 16, 2022. He was born March 17, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana the son of Luther and Helen (Hodge) Saucier. Daryle was recognized as being one of the pioneers of sprint car fuel system products. After opening his fuel pump repair business initially in Memphis, Tennessee, he relocated to the sprint car racing hotbed of the Midwest Indianapolis, Indiana. Daryle previously campaigned cars successfully in The World of Outlaws, USAC Sprint Cars, Midgets and Silver Crown Series. After his success as a car owner and crew chief he decided to spend more time focusing on his growing fuel system business which started as pump re- pairs and grew to include his own DR components. DR pumps have powered many, many main event winners and champions. Daryle as many people know, had a great love for animals. He loved the cats he left behind and loved feeding his racoons. He liked sitting out by the creek listening to the water. Daryle is survived by his wife of 32 years Cindy, daughter Tracy (Jerry) Grimes, grandsons, Trevor Grimes and Colton Grimes, step siblings, Jimmy Walton, Danny Walton, Mark Walton and Martha Martin, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Saucier. A Celebration of Life will be held: Sunday, January 22, from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at the USAC Building in Speedway, IN.
