Re: Anybody
I know 3 of them very well. I lived in Piqua 20+ years. Several are currently planning on keeping on working.
Anyone out here have experience setting up and working on traffic light systems and willing to relocate? Piqua is app. 30 miles from Eldora. Nice central racing fan location. The one, is basicly the only person in this small town that does this job working on the traffic lights so it is a very secure position. It's a nice town to work for. I currently have a nephew employed there, another nephew was the City Engineer for quite a few years and my brother was in charge of the water department and they all liked working there. Pay and benefits are decent. I spoke to Rich last night, and he is going to work until the city can get someone to replace him. He wants to get retired and enjoy so, again, if you are experienced at working on traffic lights and looking for work get in touch with the city of Piqua, OH. :thumb |

Re: Anybody
I was thinking about what I would do as far as keeping my job if I was in that position. Now, I have a good job, even though it is in Houston. It pays reasonably well. It involves travel, often international (but not always to pleasant places). But with that kind of money (accounting for taxes and split, I figure around US$7MM), I would have to think twice about keeping mine. A conservative investment with that kind of cash could return a decent steady interest income (even in this market) without even disturbing the principle. For me, I would finally learn how to take a decent picture, and maybe try and sell one or two. Oh, well. Back to the salt mines.
