Enjoyed Thorsons victory lane speech. Showed respect, gratitude, and maturity :6:

Personally I like the raw unedited emotion that comes out in victory lane, podium, or from someone that was wrecked. I can’t stand the scripted CRAPCAR boring versions aka Justin Grant. I get it they need to show support for sponsors, but damn it’s boring :6:

Only thing I remember him saying was Holy Xhit 3 times & Bad Azz. This was after waiting over 100 minutes of track prep & driver intros,so I could be mistaken.

So after we go through the moaning about victory lane words I'm guessing next we move on to he was drinking a Coors Light in victory lane.

He even gave a plug to his future father-in-law, Stevie Smith, for the new Smith titanium rear arms and how they eliminate flex and hook the car up better. He thanked Stanton SR-11X and was glad he put one in victory lane. He gave a lot of credit to Kasey Kahne for driving his team car and sharing some technical things with him. So he mentioned a very normal body function and an important body part a couple of times he just passed one of the best ever to win the Chili Bowl and emotions were flowing.

My Granny used to tell me that for some people as soon as they hear a so called bad word their brain processes nothing else for several minutes after. I've learned all through my life she was correct.

Thank-you for sharing the (almost) transcript. I was wondering. "Had" to watch the A-main in the local bar (don't have MavTv available on our local comcast cable, last I knew; and I'm not smart enough to figure out all those other ways that could maybe be free and/or remembering to cancel anything that I would need to before being charged), and there was too many people around the place this year; to get the bartenders to turn the sound on (I even squeaked out a $5 bill I was trying to bribe them with...I figured that had to be about two songs in the stupid juke box...). Dang it...oh well.

There was a lot of cussing Saturday night. Most of it from people commenting on the delay.

With everything that is happening lately; I REALY appreciated the addition of the simple Pledge of Allegiance in the opening ceremonies. Like the announcer said; we all learned it in grade school. No shortage of patriots in racing. I hope that they make it a tradition. And I hope that it grows to other motor sports events. I thought that the effort made to keep Steve Buckwalter in the show on Thursday and his efforts in the car are what puts people in the stands. Best racing show on the planet.
