LARSON EXTENDS IMW LEAD ENTERING LINCOLN PARK NIGHT #1

Speedway, Indiana (June 17, 2020)………By virtue of his second consecutive USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget victory in as many nights on Wednesday at Gas City I-69 Speedway, Kyle Larson extended his lead to 11 markers over Tanner Thorson in the latest 2020 Indiana Midget Week standings as the series heads to Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. Thursday night, June 18.

The Elk Grove, Calif. native took over the lead with 13 laps remaining Wednesday at Gas City after charging from the 14th starting position to the front in rapid fire succession to win the second round of the 16th annual Indiana Midget Week series.

Larson earlier won Tuesday night’s IMW opener, and has now won the feature in each of the last five USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget events he’s entered dating to the last three events of the 2019 season.

Thorson is second in the IMW standings (-11), with Buddy Kofoid (-26), Tyler Courtney (-26) and Tanner Carrick (-38) rounding out the top-five.

Thursday at Lincoln Park for round 3 of IMW, the pits open at 3pm Eastern, grandstands at 4:30pm and hot laps at 6:30pm.
