Berlin Dirting Over Again in 2018
 

Although it was not on their 2018 schedule when they released it earlier this year, nor is it on their website yet, it looks like Berlin Raceway will once again be putting the dirt down in September. SOD just recently announced on their website that their season finale will be at Berlin Raceway on 9/29.

Scott needs to push to get a Big Block mod race there and bring them back like he use to at I-96..With those people helping to promote I'm sure they could get a crowd.

Very good race last year before a packed house. Michigan Ace Ryan Ruhl ran out of laps to finish runner-up as he was quickly tracking down winner Cap Henry. Should be one you put on your 2018 list to hit. This year I believe the American Ethanol Late Model Tour will share billing for a great Short Track shoot out in Marne, MI at the end of September.

Right-o, beaner. The AE Late Models will be there 9/15, 9/22, and 9/29, the latter being with SOD.

It's worth a look, fish. At least once - especially if you've ever seen a late model or ARCA race there on the asphalt. The dirt goes over the pavement and you go from there, hoping the track holds up. I saw a WoO Late Model race there a few years ago and about 1/4 through the feature they were pretty much running on asphalt in the corners. Came back the next week for WoO Sprints and the track held up fine all night long.

One must remember, they dirt it over in September when pretty much everything up here in Michigan is over, so it is like an extra benny for anyone wanting to catch some dirt track action "one last time" before all shops close.
