Watching War sprintcars on mavtv.
That's the exact thing that we need in N.E. PA and NY.
Too bad one of the many touring teams wouldn't decide to take the wings off. I'm known for bashing wings and modifieds but if I had a choice of attending nonwing sprintcars I wouldn't be a basher I'd be too busy enjoying what I like. Having a choice makes a big difference in your outlook.
It does look like that finally there is starting to be a bit of nonwing interest in this area. I wish it happened a couple decades ago when I had a good income. I would have still loved and rode speedway but at least in my case I'd rather be thrilled in a sprintcar then slightly terrified on a speedwaybike. For me there is a pretty big difference. Strapped in a car before being pushed off its a thrill, best dope ever. Sitting on a speedwaybike its like the best dope ever but your always worried about overdosing and waking up hurt. When I get in a car getting hurt is the last thing on my mind, getting on a bike its always a thought.
I am NOT saying other motorsports including sprintcars arnt just as dangerous giving the situation. I have seen plenty of crazy that I wouldn't think of doing. Just all things being equal, You WILL be dinged up after a few nights of speedway. What generally happens to a car in a sprintcar crash happens to the rider in a speedway crash. Had the choice I would have been trashing cars instead.
