Re: Granite City

I think this is the format they are using tonight:

57-66 car field:

6 Heats (8 laps each) - The top 14 in the points will transfer to the A Main.

2 C Mains: (10 laps each) – (13 starters each) – Cars ranked 41-66 start straight up by points, with odd rankings in first C Main and even rankings in second C Main. Top 2 finishers from each transfer to the B Mains.

2 B Mains: (15 laps each) – (15 starters each) – Cars ranked 15-40 start straight up by points, odd in first B-Main and even in second B-Main, followed by first C-Main finishers 1-2 in order of finish at back of first B-Main and second C-Main finishers 1-2 at the back of the second B-Main. Top 5 finishers from each transfer to the A Main.

A Main: (25 laps) – 24 starters. Starting lineup for positions 1-14 will be based on heat race points, followed by finishers 1-5 from the first B Main on the inside row and finishers 1-5 from the second B Main on the outside row.

----------------------------

At the conclusion of Friday’s program, finishers 1 and 2 from Thursday’s and Friday’s A Mains are locked into Saturday’s A-Main, along with top participants in accumulative points from Thursday and Friday not finishing first or second in an A Main, to comprise the eight dash cars for Saturday.
