WING PAINTING
the right way to do this .first wash with solvent, then rub with a red skuff pad and aluminum cleaner, rinse with water, treat with aladin rinse with water, dry prime with a light coat of epoxy primer, and paint |

Agree with Wallbanger II Make sure you use IPA (as your solvent) with clean rags during your initial wash.. Change rags at each side panel, top, and bottom..Dry well at the end of each of his steps..If you have it available to you use 1200 grit wet sandpaper after the epoxy primer, this will give you more mechanical adhesion,as well as take out any large imperfections Dirt, fibers from rags etc..also make sure to wipe down epoxy primer (after sanding) one last time with IPA, allow to dry well before applying topcoat.
