Any chance of opening the bathroom in the parking lot
|
Re: 2017 No Way Out 40
The main bathrooms behind grandstands near barns will definitely be open. As far as the newer bathrooms out in the parking lot, unfortunately we have no say on if those get opened or not. That is up to the fairboard on big events such as this. We can certainly suggest it.

Always a great race, just a little prayer to Mother Nature.

No Way Out 40 week is here!

With an 80% chance of rain Saturday, and chance of rain Sunday, let's have the NWO 40 on Friday, mainly sunny and 67!!
What do you say Brownstown Speedway? Let's race Friday!!!! |

Please run this race on Friday. Last chance to have no competition for the race teams and fans. It would be a shame to lose another race here.
|
I'm sure that it's hard to find employees to make something like this to happen on short notice. Just say no concessions stands will be open and that we will have someone to sell you a ticket and you would be amazed by how many racing teams and racing fans might show up. Thinking out loud. Thanks.

Re: 2017 No Way Out 40
In a perfect world. I'd say move the show to Friday night if this forecast doesn't change by tomorrow. Push the start back an hour or so to give people a chance to get off work and time to get to the track. If you're concerned about running late can always drop one of the two support classes. Still think there were be a great turnout since a lot of people are anxious to go racing, especially since the weather is suppose to be great on Friday.
That said, as mentioned above, It may be hard to get employees to the track and everything ready, not just concessions or preparing and working the track but also you need push truck + drivers, medical/fire crews, etc. All on a couple days notice. Plus, some drivers may not be able to make it on a Friday afternoon/evening. I'm just hoping because I'm selfish and want to see some racing. |
Re: 2017 No Way Out 40
With all due respect. You don't dare do something like that. You'll have people showing up saturday to locked gates saying WTH?
You could have a raindate of April 8th and bump the price if needed on a already existing show. While it would affect a few drivers who do both sprints and midgets. In no way is this in Kokomo's market. |

Any March show is a roll of the dice, get a grip guys, few more weeks were racing steady.

Just schedule the race for multiple days and then pick the best one the week of the race. Seems like a good idea this time of year.

Re: 2017 No Way Out 40
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE #2 - Brownstown Speedway - Brownstown, IN - Wednesday, 22, 2017
Track promoter Jim Price and co-race promoter Mason Fleetwood have been in close contact this week watching the weather predictions for this Saturday's No Way Out 40. As of today it looks as if the weather may hold out until after midnight in our area. Our plan as of now is the 40 Lap NO WAY OUT feature paying $7,500 to win will roll onto the track by 9:00pm eastern daylight savings time!!!! Make your plans now to be strapped into your seat and ready to watch an action packed night of open wheel racing on the famed quarter mile. We have had several questions about the possibility of moving this race to Friday. To clear that up at this time, while we do understand the weather looks more favorable then, the answer is there is no possible way to make this happen on such short notice. Brownstown Speedway is planning to do their best to get this show in for both drivers and fans on Saturday. Thank you and see everyone there! |

Weather looks bad
|
Why don't you wait until Saturday morning to decide what the weather looks like. It's changed a lot over the last week and I'm sure it will between now and then. They've said they are racing. Plan on showing up till they tell you not to

If worse comes to worse and it rains I still got to make it to the track and have a few beers with friends. Better than sitting at home. |
