Will anyone be doing updates from Eldora? Any info will be greatly appreciated!!:)

RaceGranny, The 4 crown is a USAC sponsered event. In that case I think you could get some updates at usacracing.com. I hope they have the live pit pass thing in operation again. I know I have heard people complain in the past that it is hard to give updates from there because it sits down in a bowl. Not good reception for cell phones. I know Tj over at slideways used to make comments all the time about it.

Thanks for the info. I just looked on the USAC website and they won't be having live time & scoring but they will have MyLaps.

#1BradKuhnFan is supposedly going to text me updates but I haven't heard from him yet. Hopefully he gets some cell phone service there. I'll try to get ahold of him and see what's going on.

MyLaps.com is a link on USAC's website that gives results of practice, qualifying, heat races and the features. If you click on USAC Live Pit Pass, under any of the divisions, the link for MyLaps.com is at the bottom. There won't be any information until each event is completed.

USAC Live PitPass/Eldora Speedway Chat section has the following entry from "usac" stating "Tonight We will only be able to provide you with mylaps for the race."
When & which races is still the question. It could be that MyLaps will post the Feature races.

You do not have to be registered with MyLaps.com to view updates, thats only required if you use some of the advanced features they offer. Whenever race information is active, we will see the event or track name in the Latest Results on Mylaps.com - United States list.

Since MyLaps.com doesn't have USAC/Four Crown/Eldora Speedway up yet, I suspect it will be race time, hopefully it will before Heat race time, and not Feature race time when scoring comes up.

Tj slideways has some updates on their site. Midgets and sprints have qualified. It said they were doing group qualifying. With such a long day, I guess that makes sense.

isn't it sad that the Silver Corwn series is "SLOOOOOOwer" than the sprinters. Why would you make your "premier" series slower than the next step down?:doh:

This could be very likely, he has quick time in the sprints and midgets and he is 3rd quick in the silver crown cars.

the cars 10 mph slower than the fun guys.....years ago "70's" the silver crowns where the big game and all the old boys ran them. Just seems that we left the silver crowns in the closet. IMO. They just are not as much fun to watch as those twitchy short wheelbase cars, the old cast iron blocks and the failed "new body style". Just some thoughts no slammin beats those MODs.

Thanks for the updates. One question, what is the track like? Dry slick after the Outlaw show? I read somewhere that they put down some new clay, which no doubt got thrown over the fence by the wing cars!
