Just pulled in and it's raining pretty hard. But it's early!!

Just checked radar and it looks like once this passes you guys should be in the clear. Hope it not too much rain for the track to handle.

The sky is crying over Kokomo Speedway. Considering what we're all gathered for here today something just seems right about that.

They are saying on local radio that the Starbucks in Kokomo has been "displaced". Whatever that means. I drove 5 min north of the track and the sun is out.

Seeing some pretty bad pictures coming out of Kokomo. Is everyone ok?

Conor Daly posted a picture of it on his twitter. It has collapsed.

Poorbooyjocko reports to avoid 31 in Kokomo. Twitter hit mall area hard. No power. Use alt. route to track.

A tornado ripped through the southside pretty bad. Race postponed because of standing water.

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — All of the tornado warnings for central Indiana have expired, but a tornado watch remains in effect until for most of central Indiana, including Marion County, until 9 p.m.

As the storms passed through the area, the caused damage in several counties, including Boone, Montgomery, and Howard Counties.

A tornado touched down in Kokomo, and it destroyed the Starbucks at Markland Mall. It is unknown at this time whether anyone was injured.

just pulled into the track. tonights race is cancelled. its going to be rescheduled for sept 2nd. pits,track and parking lot are a mess. looked like a super turnout for a good cause. its a shame it wasn't able to happen tonight. hopefully evryone will come back for the makeup date.

Big track in Indy may have been hit

Looks like the tornado was south of the track.... Hoping everyone onsite is safe! Worried about those staying at the hotels in the area.

Sure wish they would move the #GYATK portion of the cancelled events to tomorrow night with the added participation from all around during smackdown!

Everyone still in Kokomo take care. Looks like another nasty Tornadic-capable cell is heading your way. Cell is east of Lafayette. It's tracking east/north-east and will run through Kokomo or just north of there at it's current path.

From leaving the track all the way to 31 there is just endless devastation. It went just south of the track and town. Very bad situation for the people just east of town. Many homes damaged. Praying for those affected

UPDATE: Now, at 5:30pm, they are ending the Celebration and clearing the grandstand because of more bad weather coming. They said the Tim Dugger concert is still on and would update on social media as to what time it will start.

Starbucks at Markland Mall completely FLAT! Poles down and an obvious tornado path from there east thru the neighborhood. Trees snapped, billboards destroyed, lots of debris. We were asking why B.C. let it rain on his party, little did we know that he steered the tornado away from us.

Is everyone in the campgrounds just going to ride this out?

I pray that this second tornado went north of the track...

We are getting some rotational in the skies in Connersville not too far from Whitewater Valley Speedway.

Stay safe everyone.

Hope everybody is Okay. That may be the first time I ever heard Kokomo mentioned on the national news. Usually that is not good.

It got kinda scary at the track when this was all going on. My wife & I and a bunch of other people ended up huddled in the cooking area inside the concession stand. At the same time, people were posting pictures of the tornado on facebook and we could look at them, knowing it wasn't far away.

Gas Cities events for Sept. 2nd are cancelled.

A shelter is open at the Kokomo event center if anyone needs it.

Now, on a more serious note vice discussing future dates, let us hope all are well in Kokomo. I did not mean to sidetrack the thread.

Power still out to all hotels and restaurants south of the mall on 931 at 5:30 am. Looks like another round of heavy rain at 4:30 and again at 5:20 am. Not much sleeping going on in hot hotel rooms with concerns for one's safety. Wondering where or whether I will be able to find a place to eat. No food since Wednesday. Let's all be safe.

We have a few resturants on the West side that has food, Sycamore /22. North Dixon Road

I know Halfmoon got their power back on this morning and plan to open around four today also on East Markland Coo Coo Magoos I think is the name.
