I read that on twitter. But you can't believe everything you read. I know for a fact that winged cars don't pass, I read it on this message board several times! What did I say about not believing what you read? :D

And people say they don't pass with wings. A great show tonight! Tuff luck for little Haud. Would love to see him in a non wing car some.

I am pretty sure there were only two cautions making Pittman's move from 25th all the more impressive.

Actually no, The longer they go green, The easier a better driver or car or both can move forward with the Wing as all the air is dirty.

I still say the heats suck unless you got two grooves wide apart. The leader has clean air the whole race and its Car, fifty feet, Car, fifty feet, Car.

The features can be outstanding if they get long green runs. If a lot of yellows then the majority of passing is on the first lap of a restart.

The heats tonight were some of the best winged heats I've seen in a long time...great racing all night long

Thanks Charles. We'll keep that all in perspective.

Going to have to disagree, especially since they have gone to double file restarts. Restarts give the driver the best opportunity to pick off a bunch of cars at once or within a couple of laps. it brings the field back to them. The wild cards are a) risk of tire sealing up, b) driver losing rythem and c) getting caught up in a malee on the double file restart.

As good a nite of racing as I've been to and I've been to a lot.

This contradicts what I found during my 20 years ... As far as Long green runs possibly creating outstanding features, I've seen it go both ways

I get what Charles is saying and do agree that traffic can help a driver coming from the rear but I think it applies wore to the big tracks like Eldora. Smaller tracks like Attica, Limaland, Fremot, the cautions can help tremendously in coming from the back. Of course it helps that the leaders get back in traffic quicker and "aero" is not as much as a factor.
