ISW Picks

As multiple other threads on here have already noted, the great Indiana Sprint Week has nearly arrived in 2016. I'm interested in attempting to get some picks going for nothing other than IOW bragging rights. So, I'd like to know everyone's night by night picks along with their sprint week champ picks.

Here's who I've got:

Gas City: Bryan Clauson
Kokomo: Kevin Thomas Jr.
Lawrenceburg: T-Mez
Terre Haute: Robert Ballou
Putnamville: Brady Bacon
Bloomington: Brady Short
Haubstadt: Kyle Cummins gets that long awaited USAC win

2016 ISW champ: T-Mez

I'm a little uneasy on those seeing as I've got no two night winners, and I'm leaving out Stockon. I'd like to hear who you all have.

Re: ISW Picks

Gas City, Stanbrough
Kokomo, Grant
Burg, Bacon.
THAT Bacon
LPS, Boespflug
Bloomington Darland
Tri State Bacon!

ISW Champ. Bacon.

JarrettFarms73 7/6/16 1:07 PM

My honest answer is I have no clue but I can't wait! But like you said, for the fun of it here they go :

Gas City: Stockon
Kokomo: Hodges
'Burg: Clauson
T. Haute: Boespflug
LPS: Tmez
B'town: Darland
Haub': Ballou

Overall champ: since my last choice apparently has logistics issue as pointed out, my edited choice is now (throws a dart) Dave Peperak...

Going to be tough for Bryan to win the championship as he is only running the 1st 4 races according to his schedule...will be at Eldora for the Kings Royal.

Ahh. Good call. I've not looked at his circular insanity dates since the 500. Lil shocked by that. Got me curious what else could be "bigger" than ISW?! :)

$$$$!. Lol

MIracing 7/6/16 4:04 PM

I'm sure money has something to do with it. Also, marketing for him, his teams and sponsors. His team, owner and sponsors for the non wing get 4 days in front of the non wing fans. Then his team, owner and sponsors get 4 days in front of the wing crowd. There is no debating ISW is probably the biggest event for non wing racing so his team wants him out there. Kings Royal is also one of the biggest events for wing racing. When you're driving for multiple people you have to compromise. It's not just Bryan saying KR is bigger I'm blowing off ISW.

JarrettFarms73 7/6/16 4:11 PM

Just to be clear. I'm just messing. The " " and emoji was totally tongue in cheek! I'm a year away from sending my daughter to college so no judgement by me if he's looking for an extra dime or two! I get it!

BC goes to the Kings Royal on the back half of ISW! That pays more than ISW and if he could win it puts another notch in his belt for wins! GO BC!!! :):6::32:

Re: ISW Picks

If you got talent and equipment good enough Like BC does. Why not race for $5K, $10K and $50k vs $5k a night? I bet 15th place at the Kings Royal pays more than a USAC win.

I don't consider it a insult, But a compliment to USAC and drivers that have extended or improved their careers by honing their skills in NW Sprints, Midgets and Champs. The list is extensive in INDY and Nascar and even WoO.

I love the fact that he's running all these classes and A THREAT IN EVERY ONE OF THEM!

Go BC! We'll have great racing at LPS, Bloom and Tri State. He could win a big some of $$ which is good for him and BC racing inc. Hope he does it again at Knoxville and I know he'll be one of the few doing both at the SUPER GOLD CUP wing and non wing :)

schedule is 100% BC's decision.

apart from Elk Grove Ford on the wing car, it's all the same sponsors, be it wing, non-wing, or midget.

also, the non-wing and the midget have the same owners (Dooling/Hayward) and crew chief (Tim Clauson/Bryan Clauson Inc).

there is another non-wing car for CRA/West Coast/Southwest racing that is owned by Mike Martin Racing, but it also has the exact same set of sponsors.

oh, and...

Gas City - Clauson
Kokomo - Clauson
Lawrenceburg - Clauson
Terre Haute - Clauson

Saw someone picked Tyler Thomas at LPS. I think that's a great pick , guys run there 3 times and has a 4th a 1st and a 9th. and that was after he had help spinning out. Could be the surprise of ISW. :8:

Dirtfan 7/8/16 12:58 PM

Is the 3r running ISW?
