I need some prayers
 

I need to come clean about somethings on here. For roughly a year and a half I have known I have cancer and have only told several friends on here about it, well it has spread now I have had a couple of minor surgeries (4) and they have removed 21 small tumors with 18 of them being cancer or precancerous and 2 of them to large to remove the way they were doing it. So on Tuesday I enter IU Health Center for major surgery and hopefully feeling better, I hope I can get some prayers cuz to be honest I'm scared as I have never had anything like this done before, been in hospitals before but its been for broken bones , burns and head injury which some have said I haven"t recovered from it yet. I"d like to thank some friends from IOW who have helped me out a bunch The Morgans Scott & Jen , Coach Meece, Dirtfan Dan & Nancy Hetser Tony & Emily Ron Miller Toby Thompson I knew when I made it to a track these people watched over me, and of course a person we all know and love Mrs. G who always gave me encouragement and kept me fighting the fight I love you guys and thank you. I know I'm missing more people and I'm sorry but I'm running out of gas so I will end this book now , But THANK YOU IOW fans , I hope to see all of you at a track very soon :8:

Jim; We've never met but from reading your posts I can tell you're someone I'd enjoy being around. I'll be praying for you and wish you strength and healing.

Although you & I don't talk everyday Jimbo, Mrs. Dirtfan & I think about and keep you in our thoughts and prayers every single day. Keep that positive attitude Buddy, there are more people pulling for you than you know.

Hang in there Jim! The prayers are being sent! I didn't know but had a incling that something was wrong and want you to stay positive, Even at dark times, Remember people hold you high and use that for strength.

You'll come thru this with flying colors bud Stay positive!

Trust in the Lord, Jim for He is always with you and will never abandon you and He loves you. Put it all in His Hands and may His will be done. I had my Hodgkins Lymphoma come back on me late last fall after being cancer free for six years so I also am at IU Med. Center in Indy. I got here yesterday, had my first chemo from 10 to minight last nite and am in the middle of four hours of chemo right now which will take place four more days. I'm getting a stem cell re-introduction next Thursday and then will be getting blood/platelet transfussions and being monitored for hopefully no more than 10 days to two weeks as my white blood cell count has to maintain a certain level before I can be released. There is a 50/60% of this process ridding me of this cancer for good but if I just get some extended years it will be God's will. I am already in overtime so now I guess it's double overtime. I feel great and strong and am ready for the days ahead because of my faith in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and He is with you as well, Jim. My Confirmation verse is Matthew 28 verse 20: "And lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world."
Trust in the, Lord, Jim, like never before and you will be closer to Him like never before. The Holy Spirit, also known as the "helper", is always assisting you. I know how scared you are as I've known for months that I would have to go through this and have been packing an 800 lb. gorilla around with me and I got so tired that being here now is a relief. I am so ready to slay this dragon. I'll pray for you, Jim, and know that God loves you dearly and loves His sheep so much He sent His Son to suffer horribly to redeem us all. Eternal bliss in Heaven is our ultimate goal and we all run our own race to get there. We'll be there one day, Jim, and God will wipe away every tear from our eyes forever. May God grant you His peace.

I think this is what Bill had in his mind when he started this website , the fellowship I hope I spelled everything right cuz its kinda hard to type with eyes misting up. You'll fly right through this, Jim. I really believe prayers and positive thoughts do make a difference. And not only are you going to one of the best places in this part of the country to have this done, you'll also be going in there with more people thinking of you that 95 percent of people in the same situation.

Jim, I know you have a great fighting spirit, and with all the prayers you are receiving from people on this board, I am 100% sure you will soon be back as my trusty copilot, heading out on the road in pursuit of good food, good racing and reliving old racing memories.

Years from now you'll look back at Tuesday, June 14, 2016, and remember how the folks at the IU Health Center really came through in the clutch for you, Jim. No one likes going into the hospital to be worked on, so your concerns are right in the wheelhouse with the average joe.

We'll be thinking of you up the Michigan way here as we all go down the path of life. It's a big path. There is a lot of room left for you on it.

I'm in room 28 in 3-East in the Simon Cancer Bldg. I do chemo till 1 pm so it's best to visit around 3-7 pm if possible. I have a chemo session in the late evening as well. God speed, fellow Hoosier!

I met you for the first time last October at the 'burg. It was hard to find a more upbeat person in the house.

Stay strong my friend. You can be sure your fellow race fans in the South East Indiana area are sending prayers your way.

Jim, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you but I wish you the best. Quickly, I just want to relay a small story. 2 of my best friends have been battling it for years now and I've seen them at points where they were so beat down I am amazed they kept fighting but they did and still do. Well my point is don't give up cause one of them is still buckling up in his modified and the other retired and bought a motor home, and while it's still hard at times, winning the battles along the way have been worth it. Jim, you are going to the right place. The IU medical center for cancer is as good as it gets. The people are really caring and on you side all the way. A positive attitude is so easy to come by there. You only need to ask God for his blessings and keep the faith. So easy. How do I know? I was there for the cancer surgery 2 months ago. It was done by a robot. I am good and very thankful. And I went home that nite. Keep the faith with God and it is a great place. Be very thankful.
And our Church will be praying for you this morning.

Just got home from Haubstadt, still fired up about the racing lol. What a great night of racing and for me That's the best medicine there is, I"d love to been over in IL watching PowrI but knew I was only fooling myself thinking I could have handled 5 nights, Honestly I am worn out just traveling 10 minutes from home. Racing and being with friends TRUST ME it don"t get anybetter than that . Again I want to see thank you all for all the prayer and the love I can"t even tell you how much you people on this wonderful site have brightened my day Once more One last thing if this disease thinks its going to beat me it better pack a big lunch box cuz with all of you backing me it don"t have a chance THANK YOU EVERYONE :8:
