Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
I'm not surprised that our sport is threatened by the enviro-nazis of the current administration's EPA.

Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
“This proposed regulation represents overreaching by the agency, runs contrary to the law and defies decades of racing activity where EPA has acknowledged and allowed conversion of vehicles,” said SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting.
Oh boy. The EPA allows us to convert the vehicles which are our private property. Gee, thanks! Let us always remember that it is the primary objective of all American governments to protect and preserve the People's freedoms. Like always with bureaucrats like the EPA, this runs contrary to that premise. |
Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
I posted three and six years ago that this admin was out to do away with any what it deemed non-necessities or enviro threats including links to anti nascar and racing threat bans by congressmen etc. Nascar got in a pass the promise of paying carbon credits and adopting ethanol,
Even seen a article within the last couple weeks of making Indycar go electric cars. The EPA and numerous federal agencies have run amuck in writing their own laws, regulations and policies and its done on purpose. Demonize the others billionaires to reward their billionaires and in some cases one in the same. Land of the free eh? |
Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
lets make all cities with racetracks "sanctuary" cities.. that way we can ignore the laws..:6:

Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
We'll all go to the races with our guns so we can go real OUTLAW racing and dare em to stop us.
|
The way I read it makes me believe sprint cars and modifieds would be exempt because they are purpose built to race and are not modified street cars, so couldn't you easily just exploit that loophole and 'purpose' build any race car. Maybe I have misread this though. Secondly, if this were to pass, I would demand that the govt, pay full value to either purchase my race car or pay to convert the car back to stock

I've always thought that if Al Gore and Obama ever showed up at a dirt track race, and seen a car blow a motor, dropping oil in the dirt, spewing smoke into the air, that they would have the EPA add regulations that all dirt tracks install million dollar Air Purifiers, and if there was motor oil that was in the soil, that the track be dug up and left exposed to open air for 5 years just like they do at an old service station underground tank.:10:
Might be a moot point, cuz if Bernie or Hillary get there way, no one will have any money to go racing anyhow!!! |
Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
Its too bad that it takes something like this that "Hits Home" to get people outraged. We need to be more dilligent as a people if we want to keep our freedoms! YES, there are those that would try to take it!!!!

This is what happens when a society of people don't pay attention to ******** and who is being elected. So this year you have a choice of a man who is 74 years old and has admitted he is a socialist. A old nasty woman who stuck with her husband who basically did the same thing Bill Cosby will go to jail for. There is a good chance she will be indited before she is the left pick. Then there is "The Donald" who has made it so the normal American has no idea what the policy's of the the candidates are.The media that tells you how good the economy is is all behind him until he is the Republican candidate. Then they will destroy him by showing how he has filed for bankruptcy 3 times and screwed people out of billions. What a role model he would be for the young generation calling woman fat pigs and destroying anyone that doesn't agree with him.
There is only one candidate that said he will get rid of the EPA . His name is Ted Cruise !The media and most of the establishment don't want him elected because he doesn't "play ball". All of the executive orders and yes that includes the EPA can be turned over with a president that loves the country and sticks to the Constitution. |
Re: PLEASE READ - EPA poses regulations that threaten RACING
Supreme Court just "Temporarily" blocked new EPA Carbon Emissions rules.
I'll not get into the who to vote for, But mention four of those justices will change in the next admin. Your choice. More freedom or tax your farts? And BTW, It's CRUZ not Cruise LOL |
Don't vote for anyone in office today that's the only way you will get these people out of office

OK. I can sleep and breathe now! Thanks SEMA for looking out for racing in D.C. I am so glad we have been able to thwart communism, socialism, Nazi's, and monarchy with our collective anarchy.:8::8:

Ok not to stir the pot but this one is coming-going to happen. With new vehicles having all the cool new features on them. Self parking, look ahead braking (down the road self driving) The car manufactures are going to not allow any after market parts to be used on new cars. Also only factory trained personal to work on the vehicles. This will not be a government deal. It will be the car makers doing this on their own.

Brand new box truck at work. Not even 2 mos & the dadgum sensors sent it to the shop. My Semi shut down while driving because of a stupid sensor telling it it was running at 1300 degrees - no sensor no problem. They say they are for safety. All the stupid crap they are putting on them are causing all kind of useless problems from what I see & hear let alone the cost for fixing said useless crap !!
Speaking of safety I think they should have something on trailer that shows they are backing. Coupling & Uncoupling should be in the testing phase of a CDL.. For what that piece of equipment costs the windshield wipers should be a lot better also. Winter is the worst. They can't enforce the laws we have now so they have too try and go further and tweak what was there & if that is big government then I can leave it. These past 7 years would have been fine by me if they would have just served the time & got out. They probably will install E- Logs on trucks also in the near future without distinguishing that some company's are different than others but hey they done something, right. |
