Greg Staab needs our thoughts and prayers. His house caught on fire overnight and it's quite devastating and he's in the hospital from smoke inhalation. I have just spoken to my friend who is Greg's next door neighbor so I don't know all the details other than it was a devastating fire and Greg and his girlfriend are in the hospital.

Danny I was going to post something but don't have all the details other than she's in really bad shape and he has inhaled a ton of smoke.

Thoughts and prayers go out for sure to Greg and his Girlfriend.
House is total loss, But lets pray for them.

My thoughts and prayers are with Greg and Penny. Turning on Facebook this morning and seeing pictures of my friends house on fire was not the start to the New Year I was hoping for everyone. Keep them in your prayers.

Here is a better option as all donations go to Greg and Penny Gofundme takes a %age for themselves However you can use Credit I believe on Go Fund me.

Wasn't knocking it, Just adding ways.

Can't believe they mispronounced Staab throughout the whole broadcast. Wishing the best as Greg tries to rebuild again.

Very sad I found out Greg's girlfriend didn't make it, Greg is awake and trying to talk. This is from My friends Facebook an hour ago he is at the Hospital.

Update: I'm sorry to say that Penny did not make it thru the fire that occurred in Speedway this morning. She will be prepared in the morning for organ harvesting. The condition of Greg Staab is getting better, he is somewhat coherent and trying to talk a little.

Please keep all involved in your thoughts.

He is hanging in there and improving each day. Prayers are still needed as it will be a long road ahead as he works to get healthy and start rebuilding.

Bump.

Greg has done so much to help so many over the years. Many might not even be aware of how. He's helped dozens of racers over the years as car owner, Mentor, Mechanic. Track Promoter, Series Director. etc.

Lawrenceburg Speedway probably wouldn't be there today, The Eastern Storm probably wouldn't exist and as I said, Dozens of racers have been helped by him in some way.

Never seen the guy not give a couple minutes to anybody who wanted it. He even took me down and sat me in a Kart years ago and said here it is, You want to race, Here's were you start and it was a reasonable price but I passed and took on a pit crew role for a couple teams for the next few years.

Help if you can, Prayers and thoughts too. This is the third time I know of that he's had to battle for his own life let alone this time He lost so much more.

Seen two updates that said he is out of ICU but requesting no visitors for a few days. He needs rest.

When greg lived in saylor park was his shop on gracely dr? Or did he live on gracely??

He owned a house on Gracely with his race garage behind it. He rented the house out for years while he lived at his parents house. When they passed away he eventually moved into the ground floor of the house on Gracely. Then up to Indy after that.
