Get it ( build it )and they will come. Should have a huge support from teams and fans. Great track and location in Indiana. Love the idea.

oppweld 11/1/15 10:51 AM

Best idea for 2016 I have heard so far!!!

Keith, if you are involved in sprint car racing in any way , and a Hoosier, you've been to Paragon. From legends to rookies , they've all been there. It would be a home coming for a lot of people . I know I'd be there.

This is WAY WAY overdue. Years in the making

Racer12 11/1/15 11:10 AM

It is long overdue! Should be one normal USAC race there AND a Sprintweek show. Paragon was a part of Sprintweek before USAC was, so it should be on the schedule too.

PAW 11/1/15 11:19 AM

I'll make the 39 mile drive.

bmemmer 11/1/15 11:26 AM

Yes sir!

Re: Paragon Speedway Usac

Absolutely. If they make this race happen, there's no other place that I would rather be that night. There's just so much history at this track and just something that's so right about watching a great race way back in the Indiana countryside. In fact, out of all the races I saw this year, the KISS Series rumble between Robert Ballou and Brady Short was the best race I saw all year.

And have the Paragon sprints as a support division? Sounds like a winner to me.

Yes please. This would be a return for the century!

That would be a "homer" in my book! Bob

Tumey's 55 11/1/15 12:44 PM

My earliest racing memories are from Paragon watching guys like Bob Kinser, Gilstrap, Beavers, etc. It would be great to have a USAC show at Paragon. As was already stated, it would be a homecoming of sorts for a lot of folks.

Count me in!

i love dirt track racing 11/1/15 2:21 PM

Our racing family will be in the house. Would love to see another great racing event at Paragon.

jscott101 11/1/15 3:01 PM

Absolutley!!!

Sprints fan 11 11/1/15 3:13 PM

Why is this a question? I dont think you will find anyone on here say no. Heck if you would a the race on a Tuesday the place would sell out or have a great crowd. Would have to agree with having paragon sprints of the only support division would make a perfect night of racing. If every ran a feature you could have 3 or 4 features.

treecitytornado 11/1/15 4:18 PM

Dan's idea is the best so far! You need to have the regular Paragon Sprints for the guys that don't want to compete with the high dollar teams! No double dipping! You run with USAC or the regular Paragon show for Sprints.

Re: Paragon Speedway Usac

Keith, Is there serious talk of bringing USAC to Paragon or just seeing if there is any interest ? Just asking.:22::22::6:

mike mcghee 11/1/15 4:42 PM

I agree USAC needs to be back at Paragon but doesn't make any sense to run nonwing sprints as a support class. Try the 305 wing cars, they need more tracks around Indy or the miget class like Montpelier runs.jmo

Seem a natural fit adding another race to Sprint and Midget weeks.I would like to see something other than my waist expand

Re: Paragon Speedway Usac

This sounds really great. I'll be there but my only worry is where will everyone park :6:

BrentTFunk 11/1/15 5:29 PM

Re: Paragon Speedway Usac

I would support this race, but agree parking would be a huge problem. In the past this has not been camper friendly. My question Keith is have you addressed concerns over parking. If you have a plan, count me in.

treecitytornado 11/1/15 5:59 PM

Open the Pits earlier or let everyone pull in as they arrive to keep the road and parking areas from getting so full with tow rigs. JMO

JT I understand what you're saying but even without the tow rigs in the parking lot theres just no that much room for a USAC event. I know that sounds like I'm against it but trust me I'd love to see :8:

Flatrightrear 11/1/15 7:23 PM

Re: Paragon Speedway Usac

The Outlaws used to race there all the time years ago and the place handled it so there should be room. Not running four or five classes in total should be kept in mind. One or two other classes max.

Dirtfan 11/1/15 7:32 PM

Bring it on, maybe Bloomington on Friday Night,Paragon on Saturday Night.
Don't run every class, this should help with the parking issues.

old timer 11/1/15 8:03 PM

It will be a great show, parking not a problem.

nathans1012 11/1/15 8:56 PM

Re: Paragon Speedway Usac

Run 3 classes maximum.

JMA1181 11/1/15 9:53 PM

I'm guessing you will hire a safety crew and some tow truck drivers?

Thankfully USAC provides a flag man.

Buster51 11/1/15 11:41 PM

Well JMA1181 maybe you should step up and vouleter your services. Keith post every year for voulenters free pit pass every week. Usac sounds like good idea.

Sounds like a good idea, unfortunately I don't have experience in these fields. Instead, I will pay to get in so that he can hire the proper help.

Hey Keith,, I know I;ve been out of the loop for a while,, but from everyone I ever talked too,,,, a USAC Race at Paragon would be like a Home-Comming, a Re-Union of FAmily and Friends... I Don;t think many would want to miss that,,, I know I won;t...Wolfe-e

Fred Zirzow 11/3/15 12:08 AM

Sprint week and a midget week date would be awesome!!

Have had some laptop problems. Saw this post finally & would love to see USAC back at Paragon! Agree with Jerry that Ballou and Short race was one of the best of the year. Bring it on and keep the support division(s) to one or two max. It will make for a great night of racing. Count Pat and I in for this one.
