That doesn't interfere with smack down I hope? In my mind, usac, mscs, or any other non wing sanction groups should schedule against this race, including west coast clubs. I think this has the chance to be the biggest weekend in sprint car racing. And with the money out there, probably the best chance to get winged guys going topless, and vice versa, and I would love to see that. I'm planning on attending!

I just hope it doesn't conflict with Springfield Silver Crown - it does look awesome though

Whats the purse if they DON'T get 50 cars?

Re: Rock N Roll Gold Cup 50k Non Wing? Possible 125k for Bo
They are dreaming to think they will get 50 cars for this event. Heck I don't think they will get 64 winged cars. I agree with Duane, what is the purse if they don't get 50 cars. Heck, can't even get 50 at Smackdown which is the best paying show in IN. To me just another promoter that does not get it. The purse is way top heavy and drops real fast. Should be 25k to win and spread that other 25k through the field, B and C main guys. Guarantee every car $500 in tow money on top of their winnings. Guys going to tow 11 hours and 740 miles from Indy to run 2 nights. Add up fuel cost, hotels, probably $50 pit passes a night, etc. Maybe the big dogs will go but if not USAC sanctioned I can guarantee USAC will schedule a show against it. Just stating the facts.

Re: Rock N Roll Gold Cup 50k Non Wing? Possible 125k for Bo
If USAC schedules against it, I guarantee Husets gets 50+ and the USAC show will get maybe 20-25, WAR, MTS, BOSS, Elite and others would probably pull. USAC would be wise to schedule their Midwest tour in front or behind it.. Another thing is, This is basically a Limaland type quarter mile. Lots more would race it than say knoxville.
Thats why I said getting the ultimate challenge back and maybe a night at Knoxville would be a chance for some real $$$ I agree, The purse should be 30k in both, with more through the pack but it is what it is. Theres two nights of racing in each class and the NW is two days, back to back. |

I will believe all this when I see it! August is a hot bed for racing here in Indiana and surrounding states so getting drivers and fans to drive to South Dakota for racing sounds like a great idea on paper but races aren't ran on paper. But a show of this magnitude would be awesome! Great for everyone. I would think Eldora would make lots more since though! We can always dream!

Sorry, in my previous post I omitted the word not before schedule. I think you guys got what I meant

The 2016 Illinois State Fair runs from August 11th through August 21st.
http://www.illinois.gov/statefair/in...s/Default.aspx I'm guessing IRA will be at Angell Park for Corn Fest "August 18th-21st, 2016" https://www.facebook.com/Sweet-Corn-...3803/timeline/ Doesn't sound Elite is a 410 group. "The Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car Series will utilize the RaceSaver Sprint Car Sanction Rules for 2015" http://www.elitesprintcars.com/rules/ Besides there is no such thing as a non-wing sprint car, they are sprint cars. Sprint cars and winged sprint cars, that's it . |
Re: Rock N Roll Gold Cup 50k Non Wing? Possible 125k for Bo
He's got 175 for a three day ticket or 60-60-75 So I'd imagine the Pit Pass would be 80-80-100 or 225 or so.

To far away from the major Non-wing hotbed areas imho. But man, who wouldn't like to try and run for that money?

2016 Knoxville Nationals August 10th to the 13th.
http://www.knoxvilleraceway.com/Even...ille-Nationals The 360's Nationals from the 4th to the 6th, another wing show for the 410's on the 7th. No room for a USAC show at Knoxville. |
Re: Rock N Roll Gold Cup 50k Non Wing? Possible 125k for Bo
TMOT. :7: Too much on top. $50,000 to win and $550 to start. And then they wonder where all the cars are. :11: Get serious. No reason for this tmot madness other than to destroy racing. :15:
