R.I.P. Rod Lynch (Cop at the gate Kokomo)
 

Wanted to take a min. to let everyone know Rod the cop at the gate at Kokomo passed away in his sleep last night in Wisconsin while on a fishing trip with his friends.

Rob was a good friend of ours and never missed a chance to make us laugh

Rest in Peace my friend from all of us at Spencer / Halfmoon Racing

Very sad news.
He always enjoyed pestering our little "guard" dog (as he referred to it).
And, was always grateful when my wife would bring him homemade cookies.
Nice man whose presence will be missed.

I have had a lot of people calling and asking witch one was Rod, Rod was the big black cop that always had a smile on his face.

Rod was a close and true friend that will be missed by all of us at Spencer Racing

So sorry to hear this. Rod was really a great guy to talk to, and did his job well. He will be missed by many people, certainly including me. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

He was a real nice guy. One U could joke with and talk to. He will be missed by every one who passed through that gate. RIP ROD

Today we have lost a good man. Rod had always treated me and Ailsa with the upmost respect and humor since our first visit to Kokomo Speedway in 2011. Rod remembered us from then on, and become part of our racing family. I'm quite lost for words at his passing. God bless.

Sad news indeed. Rod was so kind to us (dog too :)) and a joy to see each time we came to the track. RIP Rod. You were a good man.

For anyone wanting to know Rod services will be in Galveston at First Baptist church 207 South Sycamore. Monday September 14 the viewing will be from 2 to 8pm. Tuesday September 15 there will be a short viewing from 11 to 1 funeral starting at 1 Rod will be laid to rest in the Galveston Cemetery.

I put a link to IOW on the police website so people could see the many kind words shared about Rod.
