TQ's at Jennings County Monday
Any updates or changes to the races tomorrow/ finally looks like I might be able to make it! Thanks! Bob:D
|
From what I hear everything looks like a go... Hope to see everyone at the races this week... Vernon tomorrow and greensberg Thursday and Madison Saturday.
|
This race is at the Jennings County Fairgrounds in North Vernon tonight! The Dwenger Memorial Thursday night at the Decatur Co. Fairgrounds in Greensburg and Saturday at the Jefferson Co. Fairgrounds in Madison. Talked to Terry yesterday and he was working the track. Everything is a go for tonight at North Vernon.

We used to race Go Karts there, had a great time, I remember>>>long straights>>tight turns>>a little reverse banking>>and lots of dust>>kind of like Madison I guess. Honest Dad himself:6::6: |
Getting closer, it's in the trailer, hot and humid! DAD, last year the track was great, it is a bit unusual, it now is almost a D shape, long straight in front of the grandstand, into a tight sweeper around the back, into a tight entry on the front again, no off camber turns, all banked good! Bob

Did a Google map guess things have changed a little since '89. The back straight goes right through the old pit area. Was going to try and make it but my co-driver is working late. Have fun and good luck Keep an eye on that young Felker Kid I have heard tails about him.:) Honest Dad himself:6::6: |
Bob, Don't forget to post updates. Mark

The late Ed Hall knew how to prep that track for Karts. I had a lot of fun and Won a lot of races there; even a 250cc Micro Sprint race in 2001.!

Hey Bob,how'd the racing go last night?who won?,,
|
Racing was great, track was smooth, 28 cars in the pits, only 2 Yellow's I think, 1 red when Speidel lit up the place, all were cleaned up quickly, and racing continued, not being familiar with who runs what number, I can't say who won, we were in the last heat, and chucked the pucs, which I had tethered, but we couldn't be ready for the B, so we were done. DAD, good night to be there, kind of a reunion of sorts, had a great chat with AJ, been a while since I've seen him, as well as lots of others, had been a lot of water there, but Terry worked up a great surface, it was not a run away, every spot gained was earned, in my opinion, the most persistent was Caleb Faulkner in his heat, good to see him mature! Re: TQ's at Jennings County Monday
Chris Mastin got his first win over Robbie Roland, Cory Eaglin, Joey Paxson and Derek Fisher. Good run show ending at 9:56 which included half hour for meet and greet with drivers. Mastin was leading with five to go when Matt Hedrick and him tangled racing for lead with Hedrick spinning and stopping in infield with Mastin continuing and being placed back to lead. Roland started seventh and Joey Paxson started eighth.

Another prime reason why umra king series is rising to the top. Great great evening, 18th to 9th for our #74 team and as stated earlier, every spot was earned... Hope to see everyone at Greensburg.

Bob, thanks for the kind words. After fouling a plug qualifying, had to start at the tail in the heat. Worked up to 3rd. Had a good run going in the feature (running 6th) until the coil went bad ending our night. Track was good all night and had a lot of great racing! Caleb |
Caleb, it was our pleasure to watch, and know what you were thinking and doing, you had a plan, and the knowledge and desire to get'er done, good show that you knew what you were capable to safely do! Bob
