Terre Haute Sprint Week

I just dawned on me, the ISW race at the Action Track is happening during the Vigo County Fair, this year. It makes parking a little more challenging, but definitely adds some to the atmosphere and gives you a lot more concession options.

Pay to park as well?

I love fair races. Every spring I compare track schedules and fair schedules and try to make plans accordingly. However, if there isn't a fair, a nearby antique tractor show works for me!:6:

And hopefully adds a few new fans in the stands!!

And hopefully/potentially exposes new fans to our beloved sport!:22::22:

I went one year when it was during fair week! It's great!

That means ice cream and elephant ears!! 👏🏻👍🏻🎉

Who is willing to contribute to the Jen Morgan fair food fund?😁

Biggest downside is the parking, but it is kinda cool watching the colorful lights on the rides, while also watching the races.

I love the idea of the fair going on at the same time of the race, however will we still be allowed to camp out after the race?

We are taking a friend's 4 year old son to the SUMAR this Thursday for his first race ever. With it being his first ever race, of course we need to get him a racing T shirt. Do the drivers normally carry shirts small enough for him? My youngest will graduate high school next year, so it has been a looooooooong time since I have even looked for a shirt that small!

Does anyone know if this means that the back way in will be closed off? I always go that way because that way makes it easier to get to the pit shack. Thanks for any help.

I drove in that way the last time the had the race during the fair, Frank. And they were collecting from people at that gate, that day. Does that apply to this year. I don't know the answer to that question.

ISW 15 will be my second ever trip to Terra Haute fair food sounds even better. Is it as good of food as the Kutztown fair ? Can't wait for my summer vacation to Indiana .

Nut'n but Dirt 6/28/15 8:53 AM

I believe they will have to have that open for the haulers to get in.

What about the situation if you enter from the US41 gate? Last time I came in the back gate and parked as close as possible to the grandstand, I had a hard time getting out. I still prefer going out the US41 gate. It always works for me, and is much quicker if you are going south.

Try Brady Bacon's t-shirt trailer. They had some smaller kids sizes earlier this year. Small enough to fit a 6 year old.

Also try Dave Darlands t-shirt trailer. Brenda has kids sizes and toddler sizes. :6:
