What's the payout structure for the non wing cars?

It's a WAR race...that information should be on their website. It's $800 to win.

Steve, they're division II midgets that have to be a stock block and head configuration 2.4 liter and under. (I had ours at Lincoln when you were there)
Basically the same rules BADGER went to. It makes sense (or as much sense as can be made being racers)
We had a wore out Fontana in our midget that needed about $3,500.00 worth of work to be back together, which would have still been a wore out Fontana. For a fraction of that cost with a little back yard engineering we have a Chevy Ecotec in our midget that is competitive with the Division II cars.
We're not going to go to POWRi and compete with it. It sure is fun running with the BAM series, especially when we can double dip with the sprint car like we are Saturday :8:

Evening folks! Sorry I'm late to this party. My name is Dave Fetsch, and I am the Director of Compitition for the Budget American Midget Series better known as BAM.

We are a St.Louis Missouri area based midget with "BUDGET" in mind. Many call this style of midget racing Class II, Sportsman, or Restricted. Regardless of what you choose to call us we aim to be an affordable alternative to the high cost of USAC and PowrI style of racing. Our rules are simple! Any purpose built midget or upright lightning sprint utilizing bone stock 2.4 and 1000cc long block engines. Any exhaust, injection, and ignition you choose to use. We also have no tire or weight rules so that if you choose to race with another like minded series you do not have the need to buy new tires to compete, or alter your current set-up to match rules.

We are in our infancy as a series, and are working extremely hard to put things together for a bigger brighter future for our drivers, crews, and more importantly the fans who come to watch. We have drivers spanning across five states, and drawing a lot of attention, and tracks like Route 45 Speedway here in Flora Illinois helping us show some pretty amazing races to the fans. If you get a chance check out our Facebook page under Budget American Midget Series or our website www.bammidgets.com

BETTER YET!!!! Come to Flora this weekend!! Four classes of open wheel dirt cars is going to make for a great night!

For immediate release(Flora, IL) the 305 Racesaver sprint cars have been dropped from tonight, June 13th program. Route 45 Raceway received word just a short time ago that none of the teams were interested in making the trip for tonight's program. "As a promoter I am disappointed to hear this decision. I am all for economy classes and looked forward to these cars sharing the stage with MOWA. We will look in a different direction and adjust the remaining 305 dates to another open wheel class" said BJ McCammon, promoter of Route 45 Raceway. The UMP hornets have been added to tonight's program.

Re: Route 45 raceway

You just can’t trust these weather forecasts anymore. Rain was taken out of the forecast when I left my house at 4. I thought they’d be in the clear. A light shower hit the track at 7:30 and delayed the program for two hours until the track could be ironed back in. Props to Rt 45 Raceway for having the equipment to do the job. With more precip on the way, the window to get the whole show in was going to be tight. Unfortunately, it started to spit rain again just as the MOWA sprint main went green. The rain came down in earnest when A.J. Burns flipped bringing out the red. As the race had already gone 15 laps of the scheduled 25 the main was called complete.

As for the other open wheel divisions on hand, 13 WAR East sprint cars made the call for their heats. There were 8-9 BAM Midgets. The two WAR East heats won by Aric Gentry and Tommy Rockwell. The lone midget heat went Korey Weyant.

The entire staff at Route 45 Raceway would like to thank our great fans! We tried our hardest to get the entire show in last night but Mother Nature wasn't on the same page. We worked hard to give you one of our best events of the season! Our fans are the best...thank you for your patience during the rain delay!
