Handicapping Brady Short at Bloomington

Since Brady Short won the feature from tenth starting position, I suggest he be required to start from the subdivision off turn four and drive through the ditch that extends across the area outside that end of the track. I wouldn't bet against him, even with that handicap!

Brady is one of the most talented drivers in this sport.I heard somebody say he is cheating y cant people admit he is one of the best in the business.

I think he should have to drive the old half mile while the rest are on the quarter :)

it seems every generation of drivers have a few that cant be beat. Its their time, when talent, equipment, and luck come together. How long the moment last is any bodys guess. Some for a few seasons and some for many.Brady, its your time so go man go:22:

The true measure will be to see how he does during the sprint week race against USAC competition. He definitely has that track figured out though.

Re: Handicapping Brady Short at Bloomington

Brady has said He thought it is harder to hook up his old Mod up than his sprint. When you think about it he may be on to something cuz those mods have strong motors and narrow tires plus they always run their A main after sprint, late models, etc etc. and track is usually black but he still won his fair share of races and he still still can hook up. Guess that's why he is called sweet feet. Hey its not just Bloomington he wins at ! Rock on Brady :9:

I certainly agree Brian! When you've won races at (Twin Cities Brownstown Lawrenceburg Paragon LPS Bloomington Gas City Terre Haute Tri State East Bay), you must be able to wheel a race car, right? Brady is amongst one of the best non wing sprint car drivers today for sure.

Rather than handicap him, why not add a little excitement for the fans and put a bounty on him at Bloomington. Say an extra $1000 to the car that beats him fair and square, and let him start where he qualifies rather than that starting no better than 10th place rule. And, if he wins, he gets an extra $500. Seems like incentive for everyone.

I'd put my $ on Brady to win. Even against the USAC crowd.

Re: Handicapping Brady Short at Bloomington

Hmm... This is starting to remind me of a certain other driver who was dominating Bloomington. Someone driving a white number 5...
I think we all know to whom I'm referring.

Brady's on a roll and simply has B-Town figured out. Now it's just up to everyone else to do better. Bilbee certainly has given him a run for the money a few times, as had a few others. But they just haven't quite found that little extra that Brady has. I've noticed too this year and even during the latter bits of last season Brady can run his car anywhere on the track nearly every week. High, Low, and especially the seldom ran Middle line. When your car is that hooked up, naturally you're gonna be hard to beat as he showed.

Maybe the fans ought to get together and put up said "bounty" to beat him fairly (i.e. no forced to start 10th, no wrecking him, mechanical woes, etc.). Simply out driving him. Could make things interesting and give others something to shoot for.

Let's see if Brady can make it 5-in a row or if someone can finally dethrone him this Friday. :23:

Brady, How about starting on the tail for a $1000 bonus if you Win? Brady has B-Ton figured out for sure along with a few other places!

HARFprez 5/31/15 8:39 PM

Probably why he is our 2014 HARF Driver of the Year.

Really put up the money and he just might. :3:
After all, he did say in victory lane that if someone put up a big bonus to start on the tail he'd consider it... now it's just up to someone to put up said bonus ;)

I remember a bounty being placed on Larry Miller at TSS when he drove the #22 "Big Bertha" and won every week for what seemed like forever.

I know it's mods but Brownstown was putting up a bounty last year for Devin Gilpin and it ruffled some feathers if I remember correctly.

cshuman 6/1/15 10:45 PM

You guys wanna handicap him, have him run something other then the 11p lol

Re: Handicapping Brady Short at Bloomington

I recall a double header at Indianapolis Raceway Park a few years back. They ran two features. The winner of the first feature started on the tail of the second feature with a $50,000 bonus to win the second feature from the tail. Guess what happened... I believe Dave Steele is still counting his winnings from that night!

Give Brady a BIG incentive to start the tail and win the feature and I am sure you will see one hell of a show! Let's say... a $5000 bonus to win from the tail on a 30 lap feature. How about it Brady? You up for that?

Put up or shut up boys... start building the pot. Maybe by the end of the season you'll have enough to convince him to tag the tail for the bonus pot.

I'll chip in the first $100. How about it Chris? You might just pack the house to watch the man put on a clinic. ;-)

Brady is the real deal.

Kerry Norris was that way at Lawrenceburg Speedway back in the very early 80's. He simply couldn't be beat. Then, I bought the car from him and quickly proved to the public that the car wasn't the reason Kerry was always winning!! LOL

SPD 37 6/2/15 1:50 PM

Well I think it was 2010, maybe, when Brady did start last in an "A" main at Bloomington and WON that race from last. 25 caution free laps, made it more difficult, but he did it!!

I'll give him 3-5 morning line odds. Chalk.

Been a fan of brady for a long time. When I first started to go racing and was watching brady at Bloomington and other tracks and when we were heading to tss for our 3 hour trip we always went by his racing shop ( home ) . I always wanted to see how brady would run the usac points season and see how he would do but it is great to have short racing doing the great things for all the local tracks and racing families. Thanks short racing for all your team do for us racing fans. Thanks
