Just got here at the track. I was sceptical of how the track prep was going to be. After looking at it from the exit between turns 1 & 2. They soaked the crap out if it enough to have the water truck sideways. If they stay on it this will be a good night. As of right now I'd give them an A for the effort being put in to getting this track right for the racers and fans.

JMO,,not that well,only two classes, 36 entries.
Tonight if it happens should be interesting with 6 classes....

I continue to be unimpressed with the track. Not to mention 36 cars/2 classes and it took them until 11 to finish up. I know they're trying and I'm not trying to bash the track but they've had a few years now to try to work out the kinks and I feel as if they'd made minimal progress. Hopefully they can work it out but only time will tell.

You do know that is entirely new clay they have this year. With what they got to work with as far as clay. If you think you can do better go lease the track from them and try. I'd rather they give it their best shot then there be no racing at all. Be appreciative of the racing you do get to see. While other tracks close they continue to push forward and give fans and race teams a płace to go to. Yes the track was a bit dry slick last night but considering the track conditions I think it was a decent show.

Like I said, I'm not trying to bash them I know they're putting forth the effort. They have done a good job bringing in heavy hitters (All-Stars, WoO, USAC). But the track conditions are always the same, even with the new surface and it's not like they have had a ton of shows on it. If they could get their track prep down a little better and run their show in a more timely manner I think it could be one of the finer tracks around.

Re: Plymouth Friday

It was a dusty, but I thought the racing was excellent. Both features were good. 84 degree temps and wind probably did not help. I would go back, but not when they have more than 3 classes. They started hot laps at the advertised 7 pm start, so they got the show in 4 hours, not great , but not tragic.

racer-x 5/30/15 6:57 PM

You won't ever here me post anything bad about this place as some of the best times of my life came at this track. We didn't get there till feature time and forgot our glasses but that was about the only bad part of the night. There were 3 diffrent lines they were racing on in the midget feature.I thought the crowd was good and the racing was great. Hope you liked your beer I bought ya Mr Funk.
