Re: Eastern Storm Update
Don't forget there should be2 features at the Lincoln speedway. This years race plus last years rain out is to be made up. Witch not sure if he is coming yet but Daron Clayton is qualified for.
Correction/Question With USAC is the driver ( Clayton ) or the car ( 3r ) qualified? |
Re: Eastern Storm Update

Re: Eastern Storm Update
from lincoln press release
A spectacular show is expected with the USAC wingless Sprints running a complete show plus a 25-lap make-up feature. The line-up for the make-up feature will be determined by inverting all cars on the lead lap from the first USAC feature of the night. full press relese here https://www.facebook.com/events/3770...7293589132087/ |
Anyone know if the makeup feature counts towards points?
|
Re: Eastern Storm Update
maybe depends on weather forecast

This makeup feature will be for prize money only, no points will be awarded for this event. Teams will be allowed to use a different car for the makeup feature without penalty. |
Add Richard vander weert in the Houge family car, to the list

Re: Eastern Storm Update
And the make up feature only pays $3,000 to win and $325 to start.

Re: Eastern Storm Update
I just noticed that the USAC sprint division takes a sabbatical from their last appearance on June 7 until they run again on July 4 at LPS!

Re: Eastern Storm Update
I could see guys starting and parking. it is an easy $325 for what a few extra laps, leave the car the same and just go run a few laps and call it good, unless you were really strong in the first feature and believe you have a realistic shot.

Re: Eastern Storm Update
Why would they start and park? I believe they got some money for no A main last year. I always read how screwed up USAC is on this board. To suggest pissing the fans off with that start and park crap only makes the teams look bad as well. Last years situation sucked no doubt let's not compound the problem with that type of thinking. Had they not run B last year(since everybody qualified) there would have been enough time to run the A. The notion that the teams will do this is aggravating and will do nothing to help their image and product.
