Re: midgets and eastern storm
ARDC is only running at Grandview and Port Royal during Eastern Storm. Neither of these tracks are on the eastern midget swing, so I don't see them bring a midget along too.

Re: midgets and eastern storm
dang, that stinks, i thought they were together more than twice.

Re: midgets and eastern storm
Bring a midget to those races from the Midwest... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA We were considering racing for these races..... until I read their rule book. Get out ur calculator. Ready. Set. Go:
Temp permit for driver: $50 .... for one race Temp permit for car owner: $30.... for one race Buy expensive Hoosier tires, all for corners including SP 3 or 4 which is the odd ball out: About $700 Start in the rear of every race including the feature. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Cost of travel, fuel ETC: $400 or more. Pit pass: $60-? From what I have seen so far this season, ARDC car count is WAY, WAY down. Like in the low teens. Gosh... I wonder why...... How bad do you want to see my car show up out East? I'll be glad to take ur sponsorship money and fund this trip. Private message me. THX!! Don :) |

as far as the expenses, i am going out on a limb here and saying that since the usac/ardc show is co-sanctioned, if you are a member of either club, you wouldnt need a TP and in the interest of a fair fight, handicapping would be restructured to allow non members as much of a chance as ardc members. tire costs....both clubs run the same tire except that ardc mandates a 3 or 4....maybe that will be waived as well....either way, some folks are gonna have to buy tires and if you plan to run up front, no matter where you race, you probably would buy at least 1 new tire anyway. pit passes anywhere are in the 20-35 range. nothing different there.....whittle it all away and you are left with possible travel costs and realistically not much else. hope to see you at the races. |
Re: midgets and eastern storm
Thx for the invite but we will not be there in June or for the ARDC/USAC races. Read my original post again for the multiple reasons, especially starting in the back. That is just totally laughable to say the least. :7: And I had planned on racing at Mercer which is almost in my backyard but you will see a snowball in July before I start every race on the tail. You will need cars for that race. Count us out. Thx.

Are you coming in august for the ardc/usac co-sanctioned events? I think some people have these 2 weeks confused.
June = usac sprints - most shows have ardc midgets as the support division... August = usac/ardc co sanction I'm looking forward to both weeks. |
Re: midgets and eastern storm
don, june is understandable. its a long ride knowing that you will have to start in the back. but the usac/ardc shows would almost HAVE to do a handicap that gives everyone an equal chance. maybe even get rid of the SP-3-4 rule for those shows as well.

Looking forward to running the USAC Midget week in August as it gives me an excuse to come home from Minnesota. Also to 99% clarify any confusion when USAC comes to town their rules triumph all. So there's practically no chance of handicapping or tire rules. Missed you this past weekend at Montpelier, Don

Re: midgets and eastern storm
As of right now we have no plans to run any USAC shows this season.
