Re: Clauson at indy
Clauson is currently 31st out of 33 cars that have been out on the teack. Quite a bit off from his previous efforts.

I would not be too harsh here. It appears their engineer may have been out to lunch with the setup. Fortunately for Bryan Frenchy Bordais helped out with his setup and a test hop. After that Bryan gained about 3mph. He is at nearly 223.

Follow Byrd Racing on twitter.... tons of info all day long

There should be a pre race Clauson/Byrd tailgate party

Re: Clauson at indy
Somebody mentioned on the Trackside show last night that the crew put new wheels on the car and they didn't mate up to the hubs properly for some reason. One possible issue right there.

BC currently 15th quick with a 226+
|
Re: Clauson at indy
His time of 26.868 actually puts him 29th. Nice speed gain, however.

They all got to raise the boost today

Also B.C.'s 2015 #88 IndyCar shirts and hats available at his small trailer parked at about 17th and Georgetown. Drive right down to the trailer from 25th St. only. Great design, show your support. Even get your autographed "Chevy" Clauson hero card there.

Re: Clauson at indy
I saw a post on Facebook that said on track activity is done for today at IMS, and everything will be moved to tomorrow. Can anyone confirm this?

Looks like everyone gets one time through the line. The fast nine then get a shot at the pole.

Re: Clauson at indy
The old rule made for some interesting scenarios. I remember being at the track for pole day in 1969 and it rained virtually the entire day. Jigger Sirois did go out and make a run, but his crew felt he was too slow, and waved it off. As it turned out, he would have been the only qualifier and would have started on the pole, with what would have most likely been the slowest speed in the field.

ABC said that morning qualifying will be on ESPN 3 or ESPN Watch. Are either of those on cable?

Re: Clauson at indy
Watching Live practice on WRTV Channel 6 Indy right now.
Hopefully they won't black us out on ESPN here locally when qualifying starts. |
Clauson is due to go out 8th in qualifying. Hoping for good things
|
Re: Clauson at indy
30th through 34th have a bump session. Possibly BC is going to be in it.
|
Re: Clauson at indy
Did Buddy Lazier run in Session 1?
|
800 some channels on satellite tv and they cant even show qualifying? And on race day you will hear over and over its the greatest spectacle in racing! How sad!
|
Re: Clauson at indy
No ESPN News or ESPN3?

I don't understand. Only 33 cars took time. They have added Saavedra, who timed 30th, into the mix for Round 2. Is this just going to set the last 4 cars?
|
Re: Clauson at indy
Why bother, if no one's going to be bumped? More faked excitement.
