Is anybody headed to the land of cheese this weekend for the Hall Of Fame USAC Midget shows at Angell Park? If you are coming make sure and bring a gallon of skeeter spray with you. :idea:

I was thinking of filling my 2 gallon sprayer i use on the lawn for dandelions and coating everyone down before going into the track! :rolling

Going out there the week after. Looking forward to Sun Prairie..... I noticed the night before is at Dodge County Fair Grounds.........I was hoping to go to charter but I see it is at the fair grounds.

How is the Racing at the DCFG?

The racing at Dodge County should be good. It's a basically flat big half mile comparable in size to Terre Haute. The midgets carry a lot of speed down the straits and the last 2 years there was a cushion to run on. They have just added the IRA winged 410 sprints also plus modifieds.

Cool THNX Tim. I just read about the IRA addition. We have about 10 to 12 folks heading up that way from Fort Wayne to race and party for the weekend. The #14Bordner Welding Midget with Westfall at the wheel will also be making the trip up.
Sounds like it is going to be a GREAT Weekend.

The mosquitos weren't bad at all last night at the Prairie. Cross you fingers since there is really no rain forecast so that will help with our state bird problem. I keep hearing rumors that Dave D will be in the Lien #2 car for the shows this weekend and next. It was great racing last night here in God's country and is only looking to get better for the next two weeks.

I'm jealous!! If we were on the road this weekend, the Prairie is where we'd be.
I was told at Springfield to look for Dave Darland in the Hans Lein 2 for the Firemans Nationals next week.

Not thinking about it but doing it....2 shows we NEVER miss this weekend and next....not sure if we'll camp or room at Mc Governs or the super 8..The blue santa fe travel all will definitely be headin north to the land of cheese:thumb

Any event that sees Susan heading south, leaving Hayward to the Eskimos and Polar Bears is a major event. Alas, I am working this weekend and will satisfy my racing fix with a visit to either Twin Cities or Paragon. Have fun!:thumb

We're heading up! McGovern's and Angell Park here we come! It's been awhile so we can't wait! If you get the chance while you are in Sun Prairie, have a 'Cardiac Arrest' pizza at the Glass Nickel Pizza Co. It's great!

Any other suggestions for good local eateries while in the area???

Tim your st,st,stuttering already:)Next weekend is the Dick Gaines race at the burg and the 50 lapper at Haubstadt.Looks like my only trip to the Praire this year was 3 heats then a rain out.(UN-LESS WEATHER FORCES ME NORTH THE WEEKEND OR NEXT:D)

When the skeeters at a race track in Wisconsin bite you it will be the last time they ever bite anybody cause they will instantly die from alcohol poisoning! :rolling My Dad is at the Prairie every doing the video for Badger and he says the skeeters haven't been that bad as of late.
