Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
now that makes alot of since!!!! HOTTEST driver in the midwest right now..
do you think that it might be the cars or the mechanic's??? just because Toyota trys to out $$$$ all the others teams and it is not working lets just let the driver go and things will be all right we will see |
Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
its more like sprint car race pays 10,000 to win and the midget race pays 2,500 to win

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
Unbelievable!

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
This may be a good thing for Dave. Face it, the 9 team hasnt been the same since Bob East left and Ed Pink quit building the Ford power. The times i seen Dave run the 9 car, he has made the team and the car look good. Anyone else driving the car wouldnt of had the finishes Dave had. I'm sure DD will get a top notch ride with another team, with the chances of another midget championship. :thumb

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
That is truly un freakin real. Dave just continues to show he is one of the greatest open wheel drivers around and he gets the boot. I guess you have to have "swanson" like cash for Toyota to keep your seat. Dave has always been a stand up guy and clarified whatever has happened with car owners in the past on this board. Hopefully he will let us know exactly what happened this time. Heres to Dave kicking that Toyota ass the rest of his career.

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
Dave always seems to come to the top anyways and shows no sign of giving up. Maybe that is why he has been around all these years. :thumb

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
Drivers don't pay to get in the 9 cars.
I think this is good for Dave and Darren, both. Dave will jump in something and probably turn into the midget driver we remember!! haha |
Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
If anything Toyota might be interested in a younger driver to move up. Dave can kick their :moon: driving a mule wagon!

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
I'm sure Dave will land in a ride that is superior to the #9. The car obviously was not up to par at Bloomington and wouldn't start until nine laps of the feature had been run the next night at Lawrenceburg.

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
Steve Lewis screwed DD over once before by orders of Ford wanting a younger more marketable driver. I smell Toyota all over this deal too.
Dave can do better than the 9 team anyway. Calling Tony Stewart. Put Dave in a car. |
Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
No Comment  Toyota  Nine Racing.
I dont hate you, Just dont like you as much. Go DD. |
Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
Dave was booted from the 9 car a few years ago and still won races. Would be cool to see him run the rest of the dirt races with Kunz. I'll never forget his drive at the 4-Crown in 2004 for Keith. Dave was at one time half a lap ahead.

Not much time for ride hunting though with the USAC shows this weekend at Sun Prairie. Any ideas what might be in store for DD?

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
It is indeed true that Dave and the #9 team has parted ways. Dave feels that this is in the best interest of himself and the team. As for midget races scheduled for the rest of the season, Dave has recieved quite a few calls from teams interested in his driving for them but has not had the time to make a definiate decision. As for now, Dave will be racing in the midget races that he has time for and will continue to pursue the Silver Crown Championship and continue to run as many sprint car races that he can for Scott Benic (2B team) and Rick Daugherty (Peterbilt). Thanks for all of the concerns but Dave definately feels that this decision was best for all concerned! Cya all at the races!!!
DD Racing! |
Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
Good luck to Dave and to the # 9 crew!

Re: Hagen replaces Darland at 9 Racing.
I think this is a good thing for Dave, and I wish Darren good luck dragging that Toyota anchor around.
