UMP Modifieds NEEDED For Prelude Type Event at Terre Haute

Terre Haute Action Track on Friday September 12th, The Monster Energy Modified Classic will take place. A charity event to benefit those who have been affected by the recent flooding will take place featuring IRL Drivers competing in UMP Modifieds.

If you are a driver or owner who would like an IRL driver to pilot your car, give
Those who have verabally committed to racing in this event so far include DHK Promoter Davey Hamilton, Ed Carpenter, AJ Foyt IV, and Sarah Fisher. More drivers are looking to commit soon. When they do, more details will be released.

This will be a great event, and will give great exposure to the UMP Modified division as a whole.

Its not new news, Davey announced it over the PA system at the All Star Race, and I posted on 4m that we were in need for some Modifieds for the race. There will be a forthcoming announcement on who and what will be going on on the 12th of September

If I had the money to buy a ride like she did I might have led more if sarah fisher would have been handed great rides she might have even won the 500 by now

Wow, she must have got her looks from her mom.:wink jk. I'm not a Danica fan,but I think if she was to run an event like this and show she's "just one of the guys" and hang out with the fans a little, it would go a long way towards changing her image as a spoiled diva. I think race fans would give her a little more respect if they saw her as a real person and not just the person on sportscenter stomping around pit road.

And, according to her book, at the request of Ford, she did a test in one of Bob East's midgets. Book didn't say where, or if dirt or pavement but my guess would be Anderson.

The fans were pretty good about it when Tony Stewart was in the pits. Obviously being an event for charity with other Indy car drivers racing, there would interaction with the fans as part of the program.

Well Joe, I will probably never join her fan club, but you're right it would change my outlook on her a bit. Its helps me deal with my issues a little just knowing her dad raced midgets.:O: I blame Sarah Fisher for my distress, if it was'nt for Fisher I would not give a damn was Danica does or doesn't.

Basically what has already been said, AJ Floyt the 4th, Sarah Fisher, Davey Hamilor and a few other Indy Car drivers will be doing a charity modified race. You can see the segment on wthi's website.
