Awesome, will definitely support BJ and his endeavors, great guy

A Saturday night 305 class would be a great addition to Bloomington Friday night schedule.

305's are fine if they don't start to dilute the 410 class.

We have been discussing a lot of options and possible events. I'm curious to know how many 305 cars are out there and who would be interested in running some shows at Route 45 Raceway? Let's hear your thoughts!

When was the last time the restrooms were remodeled?

The last race of the year looked liked a 410 non wing class would have been the way to go.
|
Avg nonwing car count for 2014 was 6.1 per night. It is financially impossible to justify the class with those numbers. The final race was a bigger pursed show which we plan on having approx 6-8 of in 2015. Having a "weekly" class cannot be based on car counts of bigger shows.
|
Great track finally got to see it last season when we had a race there with the lightning sprints. Hope we get to race there again soon Best of luck and its nice to see the interaction already starting on here with the promoter.

Re: Clay County speedway (IL): Has new promoter BJ McCammon
Weekly program at Route 45 Raceway will consist of: UMP Pro Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP B-Mods, UMP Hornets, and Pure Stocks with a GUARANTEED PURSE.
Specials for: MOWA 410 Wing Sprints, MCSC 410 Non-Wing Sprints, WAR East(Non-Wing Sprints), MARS Late Models, Possibly a few 305 Wing Sprint Shows, and others. Below is a picture of the tracks new logo. |
Yes the weekly sprint car count was low but do you think that pro late models will draw more cars
|
Tri City Speedway gets 18-26 weekly, every Friday ,approx an hour away. We have had numerous calls from drivers in that area looking for a race track to run on Saturdays as well as 3-5 new to the division within a 70 mile radius. We did a lot of research before making this decision. Another thing to note...a pro late model purse is far less than sprint cars. In actuality it is less than the UMP Modified class. We have to look at what is in our region and nonwing sprints are primarily in Indiana. It is not often you will get 18-20 cars to drive by 2-3 other tracks paying more money to come race. As we have said...there will be 6-8 races for the non wing guys in 2015 as well as a couple of winged shows.

Shame that its going strictly fender racing on a weekly basis.

But we will do our best to bring a variety of quality racing to Route 45 Raceway in 2015 and beyond!

I'm not against sprint cars. I love them and a lot of my friends run them...Cottle, Stockon, Maddox, Short, Cockrum..etc but if, as promoters ,we don't watch our financial facts closely, we will be just another closed race track.

Re: Clay County speedway (IL): Has new promoter BJ McCammon
Are you going to get the catch fence fixed? On my last visit this was scary and dangerous. I would not even think about coming back unless this was fixed.
|
New catch fence in 1-2, all damaged catch fence repaired in 3-4, entire back stretch will be a solid billboard extending above the wall.
|
you can contact bloomington Speedway on here. There name is bloomington speedway.
