Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Just seen a tweet by eldora, this sounds cool as hell. Complete programs by woo and usac may 8th and 9th, all for 25 bucks, stands will be packed for this one. Maybe double duty for many?
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Both running both nights? Only if they would promise USAC runs 1st. Otherwise have fun. non-wing races after a wing race, at least every time I have been to one, didnt work out too well for the non-wing race.
|
As far as the press release says, it's both nights, hopefully it all works out, it's a cool idea
|
Was just letting some friends know about this. Good excuse to combine camping season w/ racing season yet again. $25 g.a. each night is aaawesome.
Wonder if they'll flip flop the race order for Saturday? |
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Probably won't be attending this one, Is there a BOSS race somewhere
|
The Hut was scheduled for this weekend last year. Along with another USAC/Powri co-sanctioned event. Sure hope the powers that be keep the midget schedule full.
|
Its raining and cold in early November and people are against whats happening in May? I think it will be a great show!!

I wonder what classes is running 4 crowns weekend. Nothing is listed on the side bar of the schedule I seen. I personally hope nothing changes.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
This is something I've hoped a track would do for a long time. It should be a lot of fun and hopefully its a big winner for Eldora and both series so they will keep scheduling it.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
PIT CART, the article reads all is the same for Four Crown.
|
If you can find something to complain about with this idea then maybe you need to seek help. And please don't sit next to me!

I don't think you have to worry about me sitting next to you unless you are at bloomington and putnamville those nights. :) it's just an opinion from past experience if you don't like it go on to the next post. |
Take your own medicine

Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Potentially a great show...if the track can hold up.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
It is too bad that Fremont has shut down for all of Eldora's Outlaw events to be a good neighbor. In the last few years Fremont has been running a 5K to win Boss race on the May weekend and now this.
I think that most non winged fans would still go to Fremont. It's a shame things like this seem to be increasing. |
Looks to me like Fremont's BOSS race was May 3rd. So they stayed off of it. And they announced it quite early, leaving Fremont & BOSS plenty of time to work around it.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
So Fremont shouldn't hold a NW race because Eldora's running. How does that help Fremont? A dark track doesn't help the track, the businesses that are supported by racing, Stores, gas stations, Car washes, Restaurants.
It's not the Hensel. It's good for NW racing and good for Fremont. |
Maybe since its early in the yr the track will retain moisture a little more.
I didn't think it was possible for Gd racing at a "day" race but the crew at Eldora proved me wrong at the 4 crown. Definitely a gd idea switching them up on the 2 nights running order. |
Fremont won't run against the Outlaws at Eldora, but it makes sense for non-wing sprint cars to run against each other in Ohio? Both are big races. Now, some of the cars will be split. No wonder there are never any new big races in the non-wing world with that mindset.

Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
I am going to have to think about attending these two races, it's a long way to travel.:10::10:
|
I'll bite .... How far ?

As I said, Fremont's isn't the big paying Hensel show. Usac and those good at Eldora will be at Eldora. Boss Regulars and those not so good on big tracks or without big motors will be at Fremont. |
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Go to the track you want to go to ....Just go and support a track ...and enjoy ....
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Actually if you recall; Fremont is a big paying show! :6:
|
Who would have thought that eldora having USAC/WOO could b so controversial !
|
Mite as well add 305s and mini sprints. An open wheel shootout.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Really shouldn't have said anything
Fremont is still having the $$ Boss show. Just not on this date. However, May 9th is a BOSS race at Fremont. Both will be good shows, Like someone else said, Visit the race you want, Thats the most important thing. |
If its on dirt go and enjoy. Hope that all tracks have a great weekend. Pick a track and go racing that is important.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Sure seems to me that non-wingers love to complain more than the winger fans. A lot of their glasses always seem half-empty.
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
If you don't like the format DON'T GO . I'll be there with grand kids in tow. Kids in kindergarden don't argue this much, just play with the toys you like. Just think what you wish for when its snowing, freezing temps. I'll take any kind of racing.
|
$7 more to watch a support class most of us could careless to watch.
|
I think the crowd will speak for itself. If you hate the woo or wings don't go. Plenty of racing to see on Saturdays in may!!
|
I would say 2 headliners with no support class. A little bit of sprint car heaven as far as I'm concerned. A brilliant idea and i am anxiously looking forward to this one!
|
Re: Woo & usac doubleheader eldora
Why is the "Sprintacular" considered such a great event and Outlaw/USAC together not so great by some? I don't get it.
|
I swear some on here complain just to complain. 2 premier sprint car series for $25 what more can one ask for.

Will be a bigger crowd for NW out side of sprint week shows. |
