Covered Grandstands

How many active race tracks still have Covered Grandstands.

I can think of:
Terre Haute
Oswego
Cumberland (The Rock/Allegany County Speedway)
Bedford Speedway (PA)
Selinsgrove Speedway
Evergreen Speedway (WA)

I know there are many more. Add the ones you can think of.

Brownstown, IN and Fremont, OH do... I don't sit in the stands and when I have I find the echo effect to be kinda strong.

The 'burg is a stretch, the new stands cover maybe a third of the stands, the old Grandstands were totally covered.

That covered grand stand doesn't leak a bit but the one at Tulsa is "Heated". Then you got Fort Wayne also it's pretty warm in their .

Those roofs sure make it nice for the race fans on them hot summer daytime races. I wish some tracks would try the day time Sunday race as opposed to Friday night racing. Think about all the electricity you could save and if you had a surface like Haubstadt's it would probably hold up real well also, and also their would be no High School football to put up with. I don't even want to hear about them Taxi Cab races on Sundays either>>>them are a different breed of fan>>>but same breed driver.

Lyon County Fairgrounds Rock Rapids, Iowa and it is possibly the oldest grandstand in the country as it was originally built in 1888 and is still secured with wooden pegs!!

Re: Covered Grandstands

You can call LBurgs roof whatever you want to call it but for normal shows, I've seen most of the crowd get under it during a light rain, It still does the job of providing shade i you want to sit that high and more importantly either channels the dust away from or up and over the grandstand.

And if you want a roof, The whole thing is, If your under the grandstand :)
