Covered Grandstands
How many active race tracks still have Covered Grandstands.
I can think of: Terre Haute Oswego Cumberland (The Rock/Allegany County Speedway) Bedford Speedway (PA) Selinsgrove Speedway Evergreen Speedway (WA) I know there are many more. Add the ones you can think of. |

That covered grand stand doesn't leak a bit but the one at Tulsa is "Heated". Then you got Fort Wayne also it's pretty warm in their . Those roofs sure make it nice for the race fans on them hot summer daytime races. I wish some tracks would try the day time Sunday race as opposed to Friday night racing. Think about all the electricity you could save and if you had a surface like Haubstadt's it would probably hold up real well also, and also their would be no High School football to put up with. I don't even want to hear about them Taxi Cab races on Sundays either>>>them are a different breed of fan>>>but same breed driver. Honest Dad himself:6::6: |
Sorta agree . With the burg covered terminology , knoxville (frontstretch)would b covered also.
Not trying to split hairs . I sure wish I lived closer to the Berg! |

Re: Covered Grandstands
You can call LBurgs roof whatever you want to call it but for normal shows, I've seen most of the crowd get under it during a light rain, It still does the job of providing shade i you want to sit that high and more importantly either channels the dust away from or up and over the grandstand.
And if you want a roof, The whole thing is, If your under the grandstand :) |
