Kenny Biro Updates
 

I've taken a few moments to sit down and read all of your thoughts and prayers for Kenny and I'm overwhelmed with emotion. This little racing community of ours is just amazing. Thank you all for your concerns. Kenny is obviously loved by many and I wish I could respond to everyone personally. I will do my best to give updates to Brenda Darland so she can keep you all informed. It is our wishes to keep you informed of his progress just as if he was out on the track and you were watching him in a race.

Kenny is at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is still in a comatose state as of 8-8.

Kenny needs your thoughts and prayers right now and we are truly thankful for all your support.

I can't imagine the feelings and emotions you are going through at this time. Just remember you are never alone. Don't be afraid to ask any of us for anything. Things will get better, you'll see.

Curt,

We will continue to pray for Kenny as well as all of you. This is a very trying time and with the prayers and help from your racing family you will see better days.

GOD has never failed to get us thru the tough times and he will not fail you.

Curt,

We have been praying daily for Kenny and he is always in our thoughts. This has hit home with Coleman since he and Kenny have become such good friends in a short period of time. He does not let a day pass without calling me to ask if I have heard anymore about Kenny.

He is such a great young man and both of you have been so very gracious to us since our move to Indy.

If there is anything we can do, please let us know. We look forward to being a part of the group that welcomes Kenny home soon. God Bless you.

Kenny, Curt and the entire Biro Family - our thoughts and prayers are with you. Kenny I know you are strong - fight to get better, don't give up! We've raced quarter midgets with you guys, and a couple of ASA Late Model races. Curt & family if there is anything we can do for you just let us kow. Take Care & God Bless! P.S. Curt get some sleep. I just wanted to let everyone know that a fund has been set up at National City Bank for Kenny Biro. Just tell them that you would like to make a donation to the Kenny Biro fund. Any National City Bank will have the information that you need. I will hopefully get up to date information from Curt later today so that I can post any new improvements. I personally want to thank EVERY person who has donated to the helmet passes that we have been doing for the Biro's! A very special Thank You to the following people for passing the helmets, Dave and Brenda Cochran (American Racing Ministries) and the drivers at Oskaloosa. Tristiny and Destiny Darland, LeeAnna Barton at Bloomington and LeeAnna Barton and the young man at Lawrenceburg. Thank You all very much for all of the work that you have done to make things a bit easier on the Biro family! To Kenny,Curt, Leslie and the entire Biro family, we are still praying for Kenny and your family! Keep fighting and God will take care of the rest!

Today it stated that he was opening his eyes and looking around and that it might be the beginning stages of waking up. Lets hope.

Good News for The Biro Family!

I just talked to Curt and he informed me that Kenny will be tranferred to Methodist Hospital on Monday! Curt and his family would like to Thank everyone for all of the prayers and well wishes that Kenny and the family continue to receive. Also, Curt wanted to say a very special "Thank You" to all of the families, race tracks, teams, drivers, family and friends for the donations that they recieved. This money will help the expense of having Kenny transferred back to Indianapolis. As of lately, Kenny has started to open his eyes and Curt said the he finally got a smile out of Kenny but Kenny is still not responding to commands. Baby steps are a great step in the right direction, so hang in there Curt! We will continue to update everyone with news on Kenny and I know that having Kenny back in Indianapolis will be a great improvement on the entire Biro family! Keep those prayers coming, Kenny still has a long way to go but with the help of all of us, great things will continue to happen!

This is GREAT news Brenda. Thanks so much for the update. Kenny and the Biro family continue daily to be in our prayers. We are praying for a complete and total miracle for this young racer. Biro family, be encouraged, there are many praying, there are many who love you and GOD IS STILL IN THE MIRACLE WORKING BUSINESS!!!!

ThrottleHead, I will definately let everyone know when Kenny can recieve visitors! I know that The Darlands are anxious to visit but I know that the first couple of days will be quite busy with getting him settled and evaluated properly! I will continue to keep in touch with Curt and Leslie and will let everyone know as soon as possible about the visits! I know that Curt is excited to be closer to home and back with his family and it will be so much better for Leslie and the girls!

Thats a good idea Brenda, we could easily overwhelm Curt with as many people who want to visit the Biro's.

I talked with Curt tonight 8/18 while he was driving home from Tenn.
Curt sez Thanks for all the support and Kenny was flown to Indy today.
Curt said that Kenny has moved his legs and arms some and open his eyes off on on.
Kenny did respond to Curt by sticking out his tongue for a taste of Mt Dew on his tongue. It's going to be a long road but things are looking better.

Curt and Lesile, we in California haven't stopped praying for Kenny. Wes and several other drivers from here had stickers on there cars for Kenny that Tim Grant had made. Thanks for all the updates on Kenny, glad to hear he will be close to home,

Keep up the good fight Kenny!! Although the road ahead is long you have a lot of friends and racing family that will be beside you the entire trip!
