Although the weather has thrown a curve ball to the weeks racing the fans have stayed to support the track and the racers. Thank you to all who work so hard to make this happen. If you continue to put this wonderful program on I will continue to come and support your efforts. Thank you all so much.

Here is an example of how hard the O'Conners work. Ever see someone working this hard to dry out the pits? Thank you for all the hard work to give us the Smackdown.

The team that works the hardest is always the last to be thanked, but the first to be blamed. Thank the O'Conners and their staff for all the hard work to make the Smackdown the best racing ever plus making the weekly racing just as great.

midnightrider 8/23/14 11:48 AM

We need to appreciate promoters more. Take a friend along when you can and tell as many coworkers and friends as possible about your favorite track. This is the BEST form of advertising. The Smackdown last night was awesome. The sweet corn was great. I hope everyone who can is headed there now. Enjoy the show.

:) With all the effort the O'Conners put forth this week end to make Smackdown 3 what it was,(and you had to see it to believe it), I think that they proved why Kokomo is the best damn dirt track around anywhere. Period.

Re: Thank you O'Conners

The effort the entire staff put forth was above and beyond what you see get done at other venues. I for one appreciate what they will do to get a show in and i'm damn glad i was able to stay Sunday for the finale. :6:

JarrettFarms73 8/25/14 11:13 AM

I'm a silver lining guy and I left Saturday night saying "no way". Huge kudos to all involved getting that thing in. I'm still in awe.

Sidenote: king of the hill is worth 90% of my finals admission ticket!

If any race fan who actually goes to Kokomo had any doubts that they are the best in the country, this weekend should have erased those doubts. Talk about above and beyond, we are so fortunate to have the O'Conner family and the rest of the staff at Kokomo. Thank you for a great Smackdown.

PAW 8/25/14 5:41 PM

THANK ALL OF YOU!!! Ya'll busted your Butts for four days.....

It was just that much longer to enjoy the company of good friends and make new ones! I can't add anything to what Frank said, but I have to ask, Is it legal to have that much fun?

Tumey's 55 8/25/14 9:42 PM

I thanked two of the family members for their hard work yesterday and the response I received was smiles and actually a pat on the back thanking me for being there. I did not think there was anyway there would be racing Friday. Rain Saturday evening was horrendous on top of already wet ground. However, after the miracle they pulled off Saturday I did not doubt the O'Connors would get things ready Sunday.

Thank You O'Conner's Family and whole staff for an exciting 4 days. Without your hard work we wouldn't of seen any racing. Again Thank You. Lloyd & Gail

Can someone give me contact number for the O'Conners, I'd like to call and thank them personally.

Special thanks to the O'Conners!! for all their hard work my 900 mile trip from Florida was not in vain. Everyone needs to realize the extra cost of labor and fuel and all the other problems cut into their profit big time. Everyone should be happy with the results. Special thanks to the Spencers for directing me to the Half Moon Restaurant and Brewery- GREAT FOOD!! GREAT STAFF!! Made a lot of friends and hope to get back for the Smackdown next year.

It was a big event and it had that feel to it. When the cars started running in the track each time the fans camping and parked in the lot started towards their seats. After the first night you could just feel the commitment to get in the 3 shows. Best day races I have seen on dirt. I know 2 fans they gained that had never been there before and can't wait till next year. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

I have the track number but nobody is answering it, I was hoping someone had another way to contact them.

As I was leaving Sunday out the front gate, I was thanked by Chris for attending. They deserve all the thanks we can give for working so hard to keep the show going.

I know I am a little late to the party... but I too just wanted to send my thanks to the O'Conner's family and workers for an unbelievable effort in being able to get the Smackdown races in.
Like many others, after you seen the water in the infield, on the track and out in the parking areas you just had to say to yourself, "there is no way this is going to happen"! But with the gallant effort of the whole family they pulled it off and the racing was fantastic. Congrats!
Thanks also to the teams who endured the weather and provided the great racing we saw. Also thanks to Stoops Freightliner for making it all possible.
