Jim Watson

Jim has been a long time video guy at all Badger
Races. He has had some health issues. Tim's dad.
Say a prayer for the Watson family. He's been a great
friend of mine for many years.
Best Regards,
John

Re: Jim Watson

I was going to hold back but here goes. First off thank you John Huss for the topic. This Friday will be 3 weeks since the surgery and he is home now and slowly progressing. He had quintuple bypass surgery or a 5 artery job. 3 arteries were blocked at 100% and the other 2 were 95% blocked. Not sure if you can get more blocked up than that! I took him into the hospital and frankly i didn't think we were going to make it but according to Dad an ambulance wasn't an option. He didn't even have enough strength to fasten his seat belt but when we got to the hospital i pulled to the front door for a quicker way to get in. He motions to the left for me to park and the 74 year old man walked in from the parking lot! Anyway, he was in such rough shape that they gave him an ambulance ride from Sheboygan to Milwaukee and they needed 48 hours in Milwaukee to get him stable enough to do the surgery. Glad i was there for the whole thing and it threw a scare into me! He was suppose to come with us to Smackdown but no way that is happening. Things are getting better and it looks like i picked up a grass cutting job. Just got done cutting the lawn at my parents house!

We haven't met, Tim, but any friend of John's is a friend of mine. My thoughts and prayers go with you throughout the recovery process.

Tim Been there done that with both of my parents. It is funny that they took care of us when we were young and now we have the duty to take care of them when they get older. Pay back. I told my kids that is what they had to look forward. One said he knows of a good Nursing home the other one said he is going to hire Pedro!!! Glad That Pop is doing better. See you at the Smack down

This topic is 6 months old but more hard times just hit us. Dad had another heart attack Friday the 13th and is in ICU at the hospital in Grafton. My Mom called me and said Dad was at Piggly Wiggly and didn't feel good and wanted me to come get him. I got to the store and he collapsed in the parking lot. Ambulance came and i rode with them to the hospital. He coded out and was gone for a good 6 minutes and they brought him back. I will know more tomorrow but it looks like he will get a pacemaker and a defib all in one deal. Once again i'm glad i was with him but that's twice now and that's enough for me!

Re: Jim Watson

Quick update. Dad had a 3 wire pacemaker installed On Wednesday and he is progressing slowly but they released him from the hospital today. With therapy coming soon he decided to check into a care center rather than going home, easier to get the therapy in house instead of driving or having to be taken in. Two heart attacks and bypass surgery all within six months is a lot to handle but hopefully better days are ahead. Thanks to all of you for the comments and responses! :6:

Thanks for the update Tim. Continued thoughts for your Dad and a full recovery. I know several who've had the jump start pacemakers and they lead normal lives. Im hoping this becomes the case. My second uncle on dads side had his first heart attack at 26yrs old. he's had a total of 12 bypasses, 3 pacemakers and 7 stents and still kicking at 83
