On the weekly radio show two weeks ago it was mentioned that some kind of speed checking device has been acquired, would you care to elaborate on what this is, and will it be used and what does it check for exactly?

Thank You.

Can someone explain to me how pointing a "gun" at a car going around a track can detect traction control or post a link to what they purchased.

Just curious if I have to change boxes this weekend ;)

Re: The MSCS Sprints are back at Bloomington Speedway FRIDAY

I have not seen it as yet, but I found this is on another forum?

What information there is is in a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) file, which says, in part:

"MSD's new Traction Control Detection (TCD™) technology carefully monitors all the available signals of the ignition. If the TCD determines that a signal has been modified, the ignition will be put into a low rpm rev limit mode that will immediately slow the car. Before this rev limit is imposed, the TCD goes through a list of cycles and checks to qualify and confirm that the trigger signal has been modified."

But I also heard they will be checking right shoe sizes too :D

i dont think it will be interesting at all. i can honestly say as long as i have been in sprint car racing i have never known or seen any team using tc..
i do welcome their efforts but hope they havent spent alot of money on them.

I honestly don't know what some people are calling traction control. Basically since the MSD box or other electronic firing came about, You've been able to dial the power band of a motor by programing it differently for different tracks.

Used to be you changed camshafts to do this.

MSCS $3000.00 to win and beautiful weather, what more could you ask for?

Tonight and September 5th the last 2 regular shows at Bloomington Speedway for the 2014 season.

The World of Outlaws make an appearance on September the 26th to wrap up the season.

If you can get here tonight, don't miss it!

The way Mother Nature has been this season, you just never know, this could be the last race of the season!

That`s right... Those old guys could vibrate their right foot on the gas pedal so it would just sound like a stutter box.
