USAC Sprint car schedule

Interesting that it is more than a month before the next scheduled race after ISW ends.

You're right.

Traditionally, this is the time of year alot of big pavement events would take place such as the James/O'Conner Memorial at Salem, among others.

To be honest, I miss it. The old adage is true, "You don't know what you've got til it's gone.".

Most probably need that time to regroup after... Guys who run all 3 series will just have one weekend off.

Oh the punishment that will be bestowed upon you for misspelling O'Connor's name. Stand by.

Perhaps the USAC guys will all show for the MSCS show at TSS in a couple weeks.

They should be getting ready for the osky date but usac killed that show already since they took it over 30,000 to win to 15 then 10 and now not a dam thing absolutely chit for brains running usac now, they was even offered a night at Knoxville so they could have a two race swing and still plucked it up.

What an enlightening reply! You sure refuted Sprint63122!

Why don't you come with some facts? Your ad hominem attacks are getting old.

(Jan would probably punch you in the face for desecrating his name.)

His reply might not have been enlightening. But he is RIGHT.

When a poster makes a comment someone has "chit for brains" it is them that should have their facts correct. Just sayin.

Well, if you want to throw mud, I'm sure if someone wanted to go through your 7,000-plus posts you would certainly lead the way in posts a one celled organism could do better with.

There is Belleville and Springfield happening in August.
Could be a big field at LPS on the 9th.

Some of the best couple of USAC races I can remember was at Knoxville and Oskaloosa. Too bad they aren't running there.

As far as Opp goes, he loved talking racing as well as doing it. What memories.

Also as far as USAC and Knoxville go, I remember seeing Sheldon Kinser break the non-wing record there in about 1982, another guy who could flat out race. I think Tracy Hines has the record now.

The smack down is the next event for usac and if you can this is one that you must see. ( kokomo at its best ) . You can see alot of great racing at all the local tracks between now and smack down this is indiana and only the best for us race fans. Pick a show and go have a great night .

Darn straight, If you can't find a good sprint show between now and then. I feel sorry for you.
Theres more than this sure. but heres some
Putnamville Clash
Aug 1st-2nd BOSS doubleheader Whitewater Valley and LBurg
Aug 2nd Waynesfield Jack Hewitt Classic $3500-300 start
Aug 18th Dick Gaines Memorial

rclaridge 7/24/14 1:46 PM

August 2nd at TSS $5000 to win for some reason this race never gets a huge car count, usually 20-25, but is almost always an outstanding race!

on_the_edge 7/24/14 1:51 PM

USAC guys would typically be gone at that point and money also scares a lot of guys away.
