Ron Dennis

Can anyone in the know please update us on the condition of Ron Dennis? The only news we had over the PA was he was unconscious but was finally conscious and talking to safety workers. Any current updates would be appreciated.

That was a very violent accident..... one I have not seen the likes of in a long long time. That car was absolutely destroyed. Looking at it in the pits made even the most jaded onlookers solemn and very quiet.

We at talk2drivers are hoping everyone will join us in keeping Ron and the entire Dennis family/team in our prayers.

Mary Grace just called me and said that he was banged up pretty badly. He's in the hospital in Kokomo and will be for a couple of days. She asked everyone to say a prayer for him and his quick recovery. I'm going to visit him in a little bit and will post more later.

I I just got off the phone with Ron's wife Mary Grace.

Ron is doing better and recovering at St Joseph Hospital in Kokomo. He is very sore and has alot of tissue swelling on his brain and other various areas threw out his body. He went threw a complete body MRI and the Dr.'s were encourage that there were no spinal cord injuries.

Mary Jane said that visitors are welcome he is in room 432. He will continue to recover at St Joseph Hospital for another 3-5 days.

She would also like to send her gratitude for everyones concern, thoughts, and prayers.

Let's keep the Dennis family in our thoughts and prayers

Do we have an address to send cards or notes?

Ron, I looked in the telephone book and the address for the hospital is 1907 Sycamore St, Kokomo, IN 46901. I sure if you put the room number on there also it would work. That is the best I can do for you.

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Ron is my Brother and this is the first news I have heard of his accident. Unfortunately I'm 700 miles away and have to rely on this site for his racing updates. Please keep him in your prayers and if any of you happen to visit, please give him a hug from his little Sis!

It was posted on another thread that Ron was spectating last night at Kokomo, so that certainly should be taken as good news.

Re: Ron Dennis

Ron ended up in the same section of the grandstand that I was sitting in last night. The corner of the one of his eyes I could see was still red and he was moving slowly, but made it up the steps and over to about the middle of the section. Had someone helping him, but he was pretty much making it on his own. He was moving very carefully, but kept moving. All in all, he looked like a driver who was really sore after a bad accident.
