1st Heat:
Kuhn-Ott Stanbrough-Robbins Fitzpatrick-Spencer Schutte-Carson Transfers: Kuhn Fitzpatrick Robbins 2nd Heat: McFadden-Bland Weir-Westfall Burkette-Darland Shuman-Carter Transfer: Weir Bland Darland 3rd Heat: Whitt-Gurley Immel-Mero Main-O'Keefe Hendrix-Sessions Transfer: Whitt Gurley Immel 4th Heat: Schafer-Schurenberg AJ-Clayton Clark-Clarke Bradshaw-Short Transfer: Anderson Schuerenberg Short -------- Clark Clayton 5th Heat: Thomas, Jr-Williams Goodnight-Burdette Dennis-Dick Christian-Messeraul Transfer: Burdette Thomas Meseraull 6th Heat: Hines-Wellpot Biro-Kaplan Barth-Bourff? Fredrickson-L. Jones Transfer: Hines Barth Biro B Main #1 Transfers (2): Stanbrough Ott B Main #2 Transfers (2): Mark Clarke Levi Did nto transfer: Westfall Clayton Shuman A-Main Lineup Anderson-Hines Burdette-Kuhn Weir-Fitzpatrick Bland-Barth Whitt-Thomas, Jr Schurenberg-Gurley Robbins-Darland Immel-Short Messeraul-Biro Stanbrough-Clark Ott-Levi Yellow @ 5 laps for Schurenberg, Robbins and Short. Looks like Hunter will be able to push back off. The others are on the hook. Running order: AJ Burdette Kuhn Bland Fitzpatrick Hines Red on restart for Thomas, Jr. He's out of car and looks ok. Hines and Weir also involved. The last 2 might be able to push back off. Whitt pushed into the pits, looks like he's done. Top Finishers: Jeff Bland Wins!! Bland Darland Burdette Fitzpatrick Weir Stanbrough Great battle between Bland and Darland at the end and Stanbrough was charging. This is from Monica's score sheet, as read by Hoover, so it should be accurate. Levi's in the blue Walker car. Kaplan's in the LJR/BCI #2. Brad Kuhn is in Jack Yeley's #3. Jon Stanbrough's in the Baldwin #5. And they're taking two from each B-Main, not three as I originally posted. Jerry |

Ron dennis over on frontstretch, he was conscience, transported to hospital.
|
Re: Gas City updates??
Anybody know what is going on?? I know when they make a run to the hospital it takes a short while, but it has been an awfully long time.

Re: Gas City updates??
It was getting a little dusty and bottom-feeder friendly, so after the B-Mains Jiggs and crew started some track rework. They're towards the end of that now and should be ready to roll em' out, shortly.

Re: Gas City updates??
Am I on IOW? A three page report on Gas City and not a single griping post.
Looking thru the results, looks like it was a pretty racy place tonight. Congrats to Bland and I hope Ron Dennis is okay. A hard charger who has had a lot of bad luck this year. |
Re: Gas City updates??
It was good early then there were 2 fairly long B mains and it dried out and began to throw a little dust. Jiggs reworked it and it was damn racy(and fairly dustless) for the feature.

Re: Gas City updates??

Ron Dennis's crash was very hard. Hopefully he is going to be okay with no major injuries. The track was very racey tonight. Darland was a rocket and only needed another lap or two to continue the side by side battle. Great field of cars for a great price. |

Re: Gas City updates??
Just had to say kudos to the 17B of Brett Burdette. Good job buddy. Keep it up!

Re: Gas City updates??
I will admit I was a little worried about how the feature was going to turn out after that last B main with the cars doing about 15mph in the corners. Good job reworking the track and bringing back a great track for the feature. I had my glasses up on the top of my head the entire night, no dust in my eyes.

What i don't get is if Jiggs makes the call on a rain out why the :censor: can't he make the call on reworking the track? Seems to me that those two things should go hand in hand as a promoters call. I know not every race will be a classic and we will come back to Gas City in the future. |
