chop 5/22/14 4:27 PM

Re: Lburg WOO

if the sunny shines 31 cars
if cloudy 29 cars
if below 65 degrees 25 cars
if above 65 degrees 36 cars
if gas prices go above $4.00 a gallon 12 cars

if you can wait till Tuesday I can give you a closer number

Charles Nungester 5/22/14 4:47 PM

Re: Lburg WOO

I expect about 75-80

Realistic? 35

Dave Rudisell 5/22/14 5:11 PM

We had 37 cars last year, and the year before we had 32 ......I am guessing we will have 40+ this year....I do know for fact only one will win the $10,000

There seems to b a lot more positive things said about racing here .

Re: Lburg WOO

For the most part this place seems to b made up of people who actually go to the races and enjoy them . HH is I believe made up of people who spend more time on the computer complaining about racing than they do on the road trying to get to the next race . I hope I'm correct in believing this site is about the racing and not about the egos of its participants .

Is it to soon to start complaining about track conditions.... I'm just kidding. I wish I could be there. If I could make it there is no way I would complain about track conditions.

Hope they have a good car count.
Didn't go to Eldora, put pedestal sink in the bathroom & the boss called & said he went in today & loaded my trailer for Monday so it looks like I will be delivering product.

Raceday!

From Bam Chase Weather

#INWX #INDY Latest hi-res data suggests the rain and storms stay north and west. Some showers may stretch slightly south of I-70 but most stay dry south of the city! This animation would suggest showers and storms go through northern IN between 7PM-12AM. M.

Have a good time Charles and the rest if you're going. After doing the Waynesfield/Eldora double, I'm whooped and the wallet is bare! I'm 51 now - can't hang anymore like I used to. :)

Re: Lburg WOO

You welcome
< C. N :)

I've never been to a winged race that I haven't walked out of dirt covered. Some worse than others but Yeah, We were dirty over in the SRO turn two. It was funny as I stayed till the stands cleared knowing getting out of there would take a half hour even with LBurgs Finest on the light. But the funny part was you could see thousands of butt marks on the grandstand where they were sitting :)

As for Racing, That was some of the best damn racing in both classes I've seen in awhile. You know Im not much of a wing fan but there was all kinda of passing in the heats and the features. The sprint feature started the first 11 laps running two and three wide for the lead and Jac Haudenschild was proving why he's the "WILD CHILD" with his Eldora like tinkering with the wall and foot flat on the floor. It took finesse and he got away with it for thirteen laps. Swindell led most of the race with heavy challenges by Pittman. Shatz being Donny Shatz Setup to hold on through the first half and be there when the track smoothed over and a little less stagger. Once the track glazed about lap 20, there wa no stopping him. Sammy rode the wall the whole race to finish second, Pittman third and those two battled hard the second half of the race.

Mods were great racing especially in the heats. Matt the Hamilton Assasin beat Robertson and Adam Hamilton. Gilpin started deep, I think he got fifth but if he'd of run the line he figured out in the last four laps. I think he'd of won.

Many regular NWers ran very well tonight but all got bit at some point. Bell was coming through that feature field like they were sitting still till he ate the wall. Ballou Got bit by a flat in the heat and never recovered. Dallas Hewitt ran strong. Brady Bacon was another who ran great through the feature advancing several spots then tagged the wall and pulled off. Bad night for Gary Taylor as he flipped in hotlaps. Track was a little rough for the first couple heats but widened out much earlier than last year and two and three wide racing was the norm the rest of the night

Had a ball. They might have been able to fit another thousand in the seats but not much more. Biggest crowd Ive seen at The Burg and was glad for it. Its a heck of a risk to book a show and the gate is the determining factor of boom or bust. He's found a night that works well. Hope it goes on for years.

Long live THE KING a king that was suprisingly racy tonight on a track he's not been really good on. Was leading Heat till a flat. Won the B. Came from I think 16th to fifth tip towing that wall all night.
